These were taken Sunday evening and Monday morning, with a .243 rifle in South Texas (Maverick county). The first picture (just the horns) is a non-typical 10-pointer, the second is about the biggest spread I have ever seen on an 8-pointer.

-taken at 200 yards, off the hood of a truck. My rifle was zero-ed in at 60 yards. 21-inch spread, and the G2's (those big'n horns at the back) are 13 and 12 inches.

Normally I see people hunting dead rotting flesh all day at the grocery store. Nicely cut and put into a styrofoam tray with plastic wrapper.
Deer in Texas are managed by the state. They are overpopulated right now. There is nothing wrong with hunting white tail. The ers are everywhere.. not just in Texas.

They are Obi, one of my running buddies made a mess of them with his neighbor and brought some by the house. They had some straight venison and had some that were 50/50 deer/hog mix. And they weren't the skinny pin joint sized ones that have more masa then meat either. And enough lard mixed in so that you need to double up on the paper plates as well.no. but that sounds like double heaven

mna i wish I had a scanner... I could post this pic of my nephew's 1st kill and brag on how it was a very large doe that he aimed and shot himself on his 1st try (and landed on his butt!) and the cute pics of him dressing it .... awwwwwww!!!
