Tagliabue to visit San Antonio
NFL Commissioner plans to meet with Saints

NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue is planning to visit with the Saints players in San Antonio before the end of the season.
Tagliabue has been criticized by the players for not addressing the issues brought on by Hurricane Katrina.
The Saints play their final "home" game of the season on Saturday at the Alamodome against the Detroit Lions.
you mean "girlfriend".
My thoughts exactly.
Hum.. would be funny to get about 1000 fans to line up and moon his limo...
He does that, and he'll have the beaten out of him by an angry mob!
He's coming to spread the same crap he's been saying. Only coming so the players stop criticising him.
The same crap about San Antonio being too small of a television market to support an NFL franchise, no doubt. If I saw him, I'd let him know that New Orleans (ranked 42nd in TV markets), Buffalo (49th), and Jacksonville (52nd) are all smaller TV markets than San Antonio (which is ranked 37th). Which basically means, if San Antonio is "too small of a TV market to support an NFL franchise", then so are those other three cities, which begs the question: If San Antonio is too small of a TV market to support an NFL franchise, then why the does Tagliabue allow three cities with even SMALLER TV markets to have NFL franchises? That doesn't make any sense!
^^^ be careful, even though u bring up a very valid point, there are some in here that will still try to disagree with you saying things like Texas doesn't need 3 teams and things like that.
Florida, California, and New York each have three teams. So California, Florida, and New York can have three teams and Texas can't? That's one thing I find very ed up.

I'm in. I also want his wallet. CPS is starting to increase.
Bone-Head. He caused this bull by trying to sand-bag the Saints and make an LA team materialize. His big time dream. He can eat my boy-panties.
Yeah, like Florida needs 3 teams...LOL....
Buffalo really doesn't rank that low. They draw fans as far away as Ohio, PA, and Toronto. Also not counting those from Rochester, Syracuse and Albany. Fans which watch them on T.V., who the NFL knows exists but fails to recognize as total bills territory. If the NFL took that into consideration, Buffalo would probably rank in the top 10. Toronto alone has over 7 million household viewers, many who love the Bills. So that 49th ranking is flawed not in their favor. Green Bay is they same with their viewership in the surrounding area. New Orleans and Jacksonville right at this moment basically pull fans from the same geographical area so I see the "small market" there. It's extremely important for San Antonio to include Austin in the mix for a NFL franchise, not only for T.V market ratings, but also for fans and financial support for a stadium if San Antonio is serious about bringing NFL football to the Alamo City!
No what we need to do is get Jerry Jones hand out of our pocket..
Getting Mexico is more important than Austin...
Austin kinda sucks for pro sports since it's a college town.. no one there now is from Austin.. they kinda pass thru.
We would have been better off with a soccer team.
Mayor Garza, is that you?
Mexico??? No way is Mexico more important than Austin. Austin is only a hour away from San Antonio. Those who would come to San Antonio from Mexico for a game would have to make a weekend trip just to attend one game. How often do you see that happening with fans from Mexixo? Austin is the key! Not every one in Austin is in school! Are you saying all fans who watch the longhorns play won't watch NFL games? Remember, you stated not everyone who lives in Austin is from there, so they will pass thru to watch the NFL. There must be interest in Austin for the NFL. I remember seeing the longhorn marching band playing at half time during the Atlanta game!
It's very important to include South Texas and even Mexico as a fan base long term rather than just Austin. I say get em all.
Mexico is more important. It's a freakin' COUNTRY.
And I'd rather have wealthy Mexican nationals making a weekend of it over people coming in on Sunday morning and leaving Sunday afternoon.
You've mistaken what Tagliabue said about market size. He didn't say that the NFL was moving out of small markets; he said that if teams are going to relocate, the league would prefer that they go from small-to mid-sized markets to mid-to-large sized markets. He's never demanded that all teams get into big markets as soon as possible, though.
