    Among discussed teams right now?

The four I am hearing most are and in order of whom I fear he will end up with:

    1) MN - if Artest cooperates he is what Garnett has needed for years, a true 2nd star.
    2) Denver - Could turn a struggling team right back around and get them back on a run like last year.
    3) Lakers - depends on what they have to give up, if it is not Odom - improves them overnight but can he co-exist with Kobe?
    4) Clippers - They are already strong, but he would make them better (perhaps)

I don't think Ron Artest will be that much of a factor this season, no matter where he goes. No matter who he goes to, he will cause more trouble than they have ever seen. Whoever inherits him will have to handle him with kid gloves. He's a non-factor for the remainder of this season, IMO.

Many of you seem to be discounting him as a player, he may be odd, but he can truly play when motivated and he will probably do ok for a year or so before going strange again.

We are talking about a top 15 talent and top 5 defensively. I am just glad that neither the Suns or Mavs seem to be in the mix.

The understatement of the decade (I'd say century, but it's a little early for that yet).

Indiana is nearing a three-team trade that would send swingman Ron Artest to the Los Angeles Lakers, a league source said. Lakers forward Devean George would end up in Indiana. The third team involved in the proposed trade is the Toronto Raptors, according to the source. The Raptors would send Jalen Rose to Los Angeles -- and in return receive Pacers forward Austin Croshere and at least one player from the Lakers.

george sucks, that is a bad deal for the pacers. well, dumping croshere's salary for george's is moot i guess?

Adding Jalen Rose and Ron Artest to the Lakers makes them pretty good imo.

I condensed the multiple Artest threads this morning here. There's no use for five threads on this guy.

The Jalen/Artest to Lakers thing doesn't work out unless L.A. gives up someone of Odom's caliber too. They can't take on $22M in salary and only give up $5M.
