On Christmas Day, while my family rejoiced and spent some quality time upstairs in the living room, I watched from the basement as the Detroit Pistons treated the World Champion Spurs like they were the new guy at Riker's- in short they walloped our asses in every facet of the game.
The point is now moot- on this board at least and my wish is not to spill more negativity into a already growing pool. On the contrary actually. After the smoke had cleared and the dust had settled and after Ben Wallace had graciously 'pulled out' of our alleged frontcourt, one stat caught my eye. Rip Hamilton, the Pistons two-guard referred to by many as the game's best spot up shooter finished with a 4-15 clip, and had as many turnovers as he did assists (2). For those of you who aren't keeping score at home, Hamilton is a 50% shooter from the field so do the math. I need not tell you that it wasn't Rasho Nesterovic guarding him but rather a player that actually showed up to play basketball that day, a player that conducted himself like a champion, not a scared teenage girl during gym class with the boys. A guys that does it night in, night out and we barely even notice.
Here's to you Bruce, you don't get nearly enough
RESPECT

Bruce Bowen is a freak of nature. Long Live the Rash.
couldnt be put better![]()
We could use him next to emeka.![]()
Yes he´s definitly that..........and I remember that years ago I hated bruce, but well that´s never mind today, he is a GREAT DEFENDER player.
wasn't there other posts in this topic?![]()
Yeah, the smack seemed disrespectful to Bruce.
Cal State Fullerton in the hizzee.
Do you know how this man even came to the league? It all started in high school when he called up the scouts pretending to be his coach. Kid was like, "yo you gotta check out this kid Bowen, dude can play!" And the rest was history.
Wasn't Chumpdumper the 1st response.
bowen and tp are the consistant onces this year
duncan has had the most games this season not getting 10 rebounds or more
He's just not as dominant as he once was samething is happening to Shaq, he's like only getting 7 rebounds a game.
Bruce Bowen is possibly one of the best of the spur players. Yes, maybe that is exaggrating a wee bit, but he plays with his best every night. That's more than what we get from everyone on that team.
If there were only two of him - one to guard Rip, the other to guard Chauncey.
BTW, that block he had at the end of game 7 of the finals was a classic.
if only...
sure would be nice to have bruce and artest on the floor for the Spurs at the same time...![]()
Please, he has 23 double-doubles this season, and thats number 1 in the league. I dont think thats inconsistency.
