On straight W-L, without the distortion of divisions, Wolves be lottery, with a %age of .519 currently vs 8th seed Lakers' .517.
What a stupid system. The Spurs reward for being the #1 seed is getting Dallas in the 2nd round? Phoenix would basically get a bye to the WCF.
Minnesota wouldn't have HCA over the Clips, despite having the 3 seed. Proof that the playoff seeding is ed up. And the league office would be smart not to schedule Games 3, 4, & 6 of the Lakers/Spurs series on the same days as Games 1, 2, 5, & 7 of the Clips/Wolves series. That would just screw everything up at Staples Center!
What's really messed up is that it is impossible for the Spurs and Mavs to meet in the WCF this year assuming they finish 1-2. I hate the new seeding rules.

I think the Grizz could give the Mavs a run for their money if they met. I could see that series going to 6 or 7 games. Grizz have been suprisingly good this season, in light of all the trades. Not to mention that their defense is in the top 5 in believe...
The Grizzlies have bought into their coach's defensive philosophy and thats why theyre winning... but sadly Damon Stoudamire is out and so I don't think they'll make the playoffs without him.
