As warm up for tonight, NBA TV just showed the Suns@Spurs Game1 of 2003 First round playoffs.
Down 3 in the final seconds of regulation, Amare hits a 3, his first 3 of the season IIRC, off the glass to send game to OT.
Some things never change. Tony and Tim missed 4 FTs in the final seconds of OT that would have won the game. Down 2 with 6.3 seconds left, Suns were forced to foul Tim, who missed both FTs, then Stephon dribbles the down and hits a 3, off the glass, to win by 1 at the buzzer. 8th seed Suns steal HCA from Spurs.

The Suns defend much better this year than in years past. All that length on the wing with quickness to go with it makes a difference.
The Spurs lead the NBA in Opp. FG% at .421, but few realize the Suns are tied for 5th in Opp. FG% at .432. The Suns continue to baffle with an incredibly low 16.56 Opp. Assists/Game which ranks 2nd to the Spurs 16.21. It's baffling because the Suns are a fast-paced, early offense style team which should lead to more shot opportunities at both ends.

I was actually kinda pissed that they decided to show that game. Pretty disrespectful to the defending champs. Why not show the elimination game which was also exciting?
I'm hoping that the Suns shot their wad last night and we can keep them under 45%.
