Circus was in town, plus some other traffic headaches around the city. Good thing I arrived early.
The Barnum & Bailey circus was at the Freeman last night ... and the traffic was a parking lot from at least 2 miles back of the SBC Parkway exit on 35 because of the parking/traffic whatever. It usually only takes us about 15-20 minutes to get there, but last night it took over an hour. We didn't get there until the beginning of the second quarter.

Sean and Bill explained why the stands looked empty "like a Clippers game"![]()
That stinks. I noticed on TV it was really empty at the start of the game.
Luckily the people I went with got of on N. New Braunfels and went around.
We would have gotten there a lot later than we did if User didn't know how to make the most of his 4WD truck....![]()

that just goes to show you how pathetic the Bexar county police department is at traffic control
those guys need to get some real training so they arent just standing around with their thumbs up their butts
I don't think it's really on them ... it's not like they can build new roads and lots on the fly. There was just too, too many people there at one time. It's hectic enough when there's only one or the other, but both together? A nightmare.
We didn't get there until the beginning of the 2nd as well, though I showed up when the traffic was backed up at least TWO MILES before the exit.
Yes, I was that asshole who pulled into the left lane, then threw the blinker and exited one(or was it two exits?) before SBC Center Parkway. I then took a major detour through the neighhoods and came out right at the gas station, before the turn. Still waited in line far too long. Though I did talk to a few of the traffic cops while I was stopped, and they were pissed.
I wonder if anyone will try to get a refund? I saw people comming in during the third.
I was really surprised that they didn't say anything about the extra traffic on the 5pm news. I was listening to pre-game on WOAI and they mentioned an accident at I-35 and SBC Center Parkway, so I quickly got out of the cluster of traffic at an absolute standstill and exited on Walters. It was still a mess getting to the arena, but I made it just in time for the national anthem. Since it was Manu's first night back in the starting lineup, I was really looking forward to the place going nuts, but the place was practically empty.
I wish they would at least refund your money some way cause that really sucks. Luckily I got there really early and was able to get Manu's autograph so I was really happy

OOO SO YOU WERE THE ASSHOLE, I WAS RIGHT BEHIND YOU PUNK![]()
Kind of reminded me of the Lakers fans always showing up late!
Yeah, it was pretty bad. I didn't get there until halftime and even that took some manuvering. Glad we won the game but I'd rather do without the last second drama.
Yeah i thought Sean would say Laker but he said Clipper and i was like huh??
Were they there Thursday night, too?
Gee I had no trouble at all.
Grabbed a beer and nachos, and had all the foot room I could use. Well, until my girlfriend showed up and hogged the other end of the couch.
I hope they do give some kind of refund, either monetary or otherwise. I kept my ticket stub and I plan on complaining if I don't hear any more about it.
