I'll admit this trial is in big trouble.
It's a joke to let him talk out of order. If he wants to defend himself off the stand then he should not have a big legal team.

I think it was a mistake to have this trial in Iraq at this time. No one would get killed in the Hague.
Well you don't know about the Hague as far as it being a sure thing. The idea was to give Iraqi people the chance to put him on trial. There is a backup plan to send him to the Hague anyway if this fails.. which it's looking mighty shabby right now.
They need a judge with some BIG ballz...
