Who knows how it's going to end, but there's a good chance that it will be of our own doing. We're the only species on earth that destrtoys our own environment, kills for pleasure, worships money, etc. Oh yeah, and I don't think that the world itself will end, just the human race sooner or later.
Gay Marriage will so corrupt our children that people will eventually all choose sexual lifestyles and human procreation will cease.

How's the world (mankind) going to end?
1. USA or other superpower initiates a nuclear war that wipes out every living thing.
2. A big asteroid or similar hits the earth at a 45-degree angle that eventually finishes life on earth.
3. God orders: "I had enough of this sh*t. Apocalypse now!".
4. Extraterrestrial forces take over the earth, killing everyone except maybe Eva Longoria because she proves to be really easygoing with them.
5. No end near. Humans will last at least a couple of millions years more.
6. We'll get extint sooner or later from our own stupidity with chemicals, deforestation, etc, etc.
7. I don't care. Screw future generations.

No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Matthew 24:36-37
Jesus says he will be returning when the earth is like it was in Noah's day. What was the world like in Noah's day? The earth was corrupt before God and it was filled with violence. For God looked upon the earth and it was indeed corrupt. All flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth. God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before me. The earth is filled with violence through them and I will destroy them with the earth." Genesis 6:11-13.

Yes, this is how this world will end, This world under This system as we know it, but the bible says the earth shall remain forever, and some will be given another chance to live in that new earth.

In case of a nuclear hollocaust, the chance of ALL humans getting wiped out by our own doing is pretty slim. Not saying there couldn't be a drastic reduction in the quan y, but complete extinction is damn near impossible - even a handfull left under a mountain in Colorado and some under the alps could repopulate eventually.
That being said, it is much more likely that a plague, either viral or resistant bacteria will do some SERIOUS damage to this globe-trotting world.
If you've been reading about this bird-flu, it could do some real killin in the next few years.
