All things being equal (condition/mechanics) I'd go with the Accord. It's a little bigger than the Civic (for your family), they are decent quality-wise, and they get good gas mileage.
Which Used car would you prefer to own?
keep in mind this vehicle will be paid for cash and insurance will be bought up front. so the only concerns here are reliablilty and gas.
1. accord
2. civic
3. protege
4. malibu
5. galant
also please give your reasoning and any experiance you may have ot relate.
thanks.

reliability and gas? then in this order
civic, accord, protege and stop there. Don't even consider the other 2
That's where I was going, especially not used.
For sure between the Civic & the Accord ... I picked the Accord because it was a little bigger for a family of 4.![]()
I would go with the Accord, but what model year are you looking at? I am personally a fan of hondas and have had good experience with them. They last a long time and great on gas, plus high resale value.

Civic or Accord. Lots of aftermarket items you can add to make it a rice rocket!
Yeah this could be yours...

My grandpa researches on vehicles and finds the best. He said that Honda has one of the better type of cars and that the civic is really good. So i'd advise the Civic or Accord.
It probably depends on what year. I have had a Galant before and loved it. It was probably about 1998 or 1999 though.
If you're moving to the Southside, get a Chevy Impala.
When I worked for Budget car rental, we had soooo many issues with the Mitsubishis and Chevys. The Gallant is OK if its a standard, but I wouldnt recommend the automatic. That's what we always had issues with. THe ones that we had pretty much no problems with were the Toyotas and Hondas.
Civics are excellent cars, you will go far with a tank of gas. Everyone I have ever known who had a Civic loved it. The Accord is better for family, though as someone already pointed out. Also, if you do a lot of road trips, get the Accord. You will thank me later for it.

Man, when management finds out about this...I'll be getting a toyota! i promise!
i say accord civic in that order. the rest are trash. easy to fix, low fuel cost, reliable like a mo-fo! i have a toyota but used to have a honda. i miss that beotch. if one of the two needs work oh well. pm me i can give you the # to a mech on the "southside". the doode is cheap and reliable. he did all of my engine gaskets for less than two fiddy! and he chnged all of my belts and gave me an oil chng for free. the guy knows imports!
Hey, my wife wanted me to tell you, "It's LICE LOCKET You trong PLICK!"
Oh, and she says accord-civic-mazda. Forget the other two.
