    is a joke...
(pardon the punctuation of this rant)

some chode, the new local guy, not jeff bolton was asking if pat robertson was right, if we should assasinate hugo chavez, and then some level headed people called in and said the US doesnt take out leaders of other countries, and that hugo chavez was democraticaly elected. and then the host starts quoting cheney who said his rise to power was very similar to Hitler, who was elected democraticaly (this has been debated as well) and then scoffing the callers for being nutless and that we had to take him out because he is a threat and starving his people

this is an example of an old school conservative play
be REALLY, SUPER neo-con about something that most people would agree with you about (protecting america, spreading freedom) and be so stupid and extreme about it, you create dissent, this dissent gives you a great chance to question other peoples patriotism, love of family, etc..., it gives you a chance to look conservative, thus more white, christian, patriotic and richer than others and gives you a chance to "expose" the far left for being "off the deep end" and "out of the mainstream"

another example was Beck talking about this last week, beck is more independently conservative, in the spurswoman, s y way

he was going off on these sick child molesters, and the crimes they commit and recommit, how we have to protect or children.
ok Im with you, but I can see where this is going.
    protect or children.

then he busts out with we should give child molesters the death penalty on the first offense and then they start debating whether torture would be good, ot let the father get their revenge

    and another play was ran
a few people called in and wondered if they were going to far, and questioned whether they were serious
then they just ridcule this caller as being on the molesters side, and basically not understanding family, and how some people will put politics ahead of everything
and it let everyone know that BECK didnt like child molesters
    just some hilarious

last night the dude filling in for Thompson brother was talking about these women in Mass. who are sueing walmart for not carrying the morning after pill (this is not ru486 aka the abortion pill, though some people still call it that for fun, (conservativeness)). and of course he was going into how walmart is a private, publically traded, company and as a private company they should have the right to sell anything they want. and examples of how they dont sell liquor and black tail type magazines.
    to this point I agree
the next 15 min vulgar display of conservatism is whats bull
he goes into how these women are being backed by far left abortion rights groups
this is funny, because I always here these two words "far left" on clear channel and foxnews
I guess the term sometime fits, but this is just so we all know that the left is totally off the deep end and out of the mainstream, if you dont infer this then you can listen to sean hannity and rush limbaugh say it more plainly everyday

    back to my point

he goes into how these women are being backed by far left abortion rights groups
republicans love to say how the far left is "backing" people, cindy sheehan is backed by michael moore and moveon.org, kerry by moveon.org and those liberal ant-iamerican anti-swiftboatvetransfortruth
liberals are mindless and can be controlled by any far left organization, we get it, we get it

well anyway after turning a valid point into a lets scoff the left rant, he starts explaining what a late term abortion is to everyone on the air for some reason

    this had me perplexed

but the stupidest part is not seeing the stupidity of both sides

we've had the pharmacist debate often
way to take a stand walmart
remember at christmas when they wouldnt say christmas, oh walmart such a private company bursting with values

theyre risking a profit like the dude said, he said they could get them anywhere else...
well what if no pharmacy sold them?, could they go to another state, what if they didnt carry it?
this could be a on a wild goose chase

what if walmart didnt sell liver medication because they didnt like the idea of drinking alcohol?, or diabetes medication because they didnt agree with the gluttony of sugary foods and inactivity?

when a company makes a statement like this they deserve to be scoffed, and the best way to do that is with your billfold

WOAI is so full of conservative bull its sick
I have to listen and watch fox news to know my enemy, and you should too

Since Walmart does distribute birth control pills, I think that's pretty stupid anyway...taking a combination of regular birth control pills does the same thing as the morning-after pill. It's amazing to me that people...pharmacists especially...don't understand that.

Because Barney and Bertha on the farm don't know that, so it's OK. As long as they sleep well, vote GOP, and shop at Wally World, that's all that matters.

WalMart's position is that the particular pharmaceutical isn't widely prescribed and therefore, they've made a BUSINESS decision not to stock an expensive medicine that would, more than likely, expire on the shelves.

They weren't -- from what I heard the other day -- making a moral statement on the medicine but, instead, making a business decision.

I know the argument has turned into one -- but, that doesn't mean it is what WalMart intended.

If a pack of 28 birth control pills costs <$40, how expensive do you think a single morning after pill is...when someone can use 3 birth control pills for the same purpose? I think whoever said it was a "business decision" rather than a moral one is full of .

But whatever...if they don't want to sell if for moral reasons....which is stupid because they already basically do.............then say so. It's not that big of a deal, IMO. I usually get my prescriptions filled at either HEB or Walgreens anyway.

It's not promoted by a mega-conglomerate and broadcasted on the 50,000 watt blow-torch across have the U.S. (and home of the Spurs I may add)? Give me a breaK. Liberal radio is every bit as entertaining and twice as informative as Conservative radio (mostly because what the talk show hosts say is, well, true).

I think CC shut down 92.5 because it was succeeding beyond their expectations, I may be wrong, but it's kinda strange how they did the change in the middle of the night without a peep in the press.

DING DING DING.....All it is is cause the es want money, there's a load of other pharmacies in Mass. that carry plan B. And the state's largest pharmacy chain does so I don't know what has got these es panties in a wad, but they do have the backing of pro-choice groups that want to go after all 44 of the WalMart pharmacies, when there are plenty of other pharmacies in the state so that doesn't make any sense.

My perspective is that conservatives are happy with their circle jerk - you know... conservative talk radio where the everyone calls in to agree with each other, blame the world's problems on liberals and recount how great it is that Clinton is out of office.

Liberals on the other hand, are less pleased with the circle jerk mentality - they want to argue with someone, and it doesn't really matter about what or whether they have any basis for their arguement, so long as they get to argue. Since conservatives don't listen to liberal radio - the supply of contrary opinions on liberal radio is depleated, thus no one to argue with and thus a show that doesn't really appeal to the target market.

Why is there any debate about this? The (very well) do ented facts are that Hitler was never elected to the Chancellorship of United Germany.

(And btw, it was Rumsfeld who compared Chavez to Hitler) Is it too much to ask that our leaders have a basic working knowledge of 9th grade history?

Logic prevails in talk radio. Liberals fail to convert people to their way of thinking so they stick to calling everyone who disagrees stupid. Your post is a perfect example. Liberals don't succeed on radio because radio listeners are stupid. Whatever, just get used to losing elections and soon most court decisions.

this may be hard to believe but I have heard conservative talk radio before, we even get WOAI down south, its just in one week I saw the same conservative play ran 3 times and its just so predictable, tired and hackneyed

    regarding hitler---
a few months ago elpimpo said hitler was elected democratically and he was crucified, you would have thought he had just revealed he was lucifer himself

I think liberals could very well succed in radio, but clearchannel obviously has the market cornered and anyone who thinks theyre not rightwing is an idiot

also I think liberals are more weary of someone richer than them stroking their egos and telling them how lucky they are to be listening, that theyre great americans and that theyre listening to something thats at the same time the number 1 or number 2 most listened to american radio shows of all time and alternative, new, and not mainstream

does anyone not see the transparency of hannity calling ever caller great americans and then them responding by calling him a great american??

as I said walmart should be allowed to make that decision as a private company, but TRO dont say its because the drug isnt in high demand and too expensive, they have drugs that are more expensive than buying the weed that won the cannibus cup by the 1/2 gram
and I would venture to guess they have at least a few hundred medications we've never heard of, 99.999% of people wouldnt even know anyone who suffers from that ailment

well what if no pharmacy sold them?, could they go to another state, what if they didnt carry it?

this could be a on a wild goose chase

what if walmart didnt sell liver medication because they didnt like the idea of drinking alcohol?, or diabetes medication because they didnt agree with the gluttony of sugary foods and inactivity?

    no answer for this question?
its because its stupid of them and the only think you can do is take your billfold somewhere else...
not even if you agree with the morning after pill, if you think YOUR perscriptions availability should depend on the personal beliefs of a random pharmacist

Damn, that wasn't cool. Just because some guy finally got to use that same condom he's had in wallet for the last 5 years, and it subsequently broke because it expired 4 years ago, doesn't make her a . She very well could have been a virgin. Which would explain how that guy finally got laid.

    no answer for this question?

I thought I did answer it. She can get a prescription for regular birth control pills and take the combination...it's the same thing. Regular birth control pills will always be available, regardless of random pharmacists' desires.

yep...it's a combination of 3 different pills in a pack, which pills to take vary by brand/and strength of hormones in the prescription. That's what they used to use before the "morning after" pill (single) ever came around.

Spurswoman is right, but a lot of women aren't on the pill. It's recommended that you take the pill for two weeks before engaging in unprotected sex with your partner. Suddenly taking 3 pills in one day, no matter the combination, may not work. This is why we need prescriptions like RU-84 available.

This example from Walmart shouldn't surprise anyone though, rich 'christian' billionares are trying to dictate moral behavior in almost every facet of American life. I've written about if before, it's called Dominionism, and their agenda for the US is scary as . They want to bring a Taliban like government to the U.S..

A GYN can prescribe you one pack of pills...just as easily as he/she can prescribe a morning after pill....you don't have to be a regular user. And you're supposed to be on the pill at least one full cycle (4 weeks) before you should start relying on it.

But that's one pill a day ... there's a combination of 3 pills you take at one time to get a certain hormone level that works the exact same way as the morning after single pill.

Trust me on this one ... I've been a girl for a pretty long time now.
