Ok post your prediction on when and how we will attack Iran.
I think it will happen in the next 90 days and will target air defense sites and suspected WMD sites.
I don't think any missions other than refueling and SAR (search and rescue for downed pilots) will fly out of Iraq.
It will be air only with maybe some spotters and spy's on the ground.
First will hit there air defense and shoot down most of there air force. Then the WMD suspect sites with B2, B1 and B52's over a period of a couple weeks.
Should take at least 1000 sorties or more.

I'm not really a military wiz, but if Iran is producing nukes and even if they're halfway developed, if US blow them up wouldn't that cause the Nuke to explode?

Iran denies inspections, denies sactions. After a year or so, US just bombs them via aerial attacks. Then we have to rebuild they're social structure that mirrors somewhat of ours and another trillion goes down the drain.

For Nuke to explode it must reach a critical mass; that is something done with precision, not volatility.

Though question because, as I've said before, these kinds of things are subject to 'the human factor', or, our ability to change our future. Iran opens it's new oil boarse next month, unless they delay it, but the U.S./NeoCons leading the cause for war in Iran with the complicite US media (which stands to gain from big ratings) haven't had time to build their cause for war with the UN/World yet. Not one sanction has been issued against Iran where there were at least a dozen against Saddam.
The U.S. is gonna try to buy some time by opening up the Treasury printing pressings and inflating the dollar - this is why it was important for the WH to get it's guy into the Federal Reserve (and why they will stop reporting the level of M3 money supply in March), but that will only work for so long. Still, it could buy the WH at least up to a year after Iran opens it's oil boarse. That's when the target date (time-clock) starts.
I am no military guru, but I believe the mass of the atoms has to be impacted precisely within like thousandths of a second from all sides to properly generate the energy needed for the nuke to be effective. Otherwise, I think it is like a gernade. Don't listen to me though, because well, I am stupid.
I think the US would have already bombed them, but after this administration went cowboy in Iraq, they are being cautious.
Another reason is a possible energy crunch if the US does bomb Iran. Witness Bush almost being serious about energy independence in his state of the union address.
israel will do it for us.. sometime in march... just like they did to iraq in the 80's... 3 maybe 4 F16's .. flying low dropping their load .. and returning home to a secret victors parade...
Iran isn't Iraq, there are over 75 primary targets at least that we know about, and many in hardened underground bunkers capable of withstanding conventional munitions.
Israel will bomb them pretty well. This is already known.
I have no doubt that it will be a joint operation, but it's not just Iran's nuclear facilities they have to be knocked out. Remember that Iran has been sock-piling missiles, short and long range, for this very scenario for years, and they will use them against neighbors who let the US/Israel fly over their sovereign land to attack Iran. If they have silkworms, they could stop oil flowing through the Gulf.

This notion that the United States is getting ready to attack Iran is simply ridiculous. And having said that, all options are on the table.

Israel already has Mossad running around all over Iran scouting sites. Probably even working inside some of their facilities. Israel will do the attacks from the ground (sabotage) and air.
While their planes are in the air, the US, British, French, and Turks will take out any coastal positions (north and south), including Silkworm missile locations and air force bases. Also any remote missile locations and surface to surface installations will be hit with a combination of tomahawks and air sorties.
I suspect we'll have several squadrons of F-117s, B-2s, and our new F-22 airborne to clean up.
Instead of bombs, we will drop Bibles. Upon reading about the good news from our Lord and Savior, those infidels will instantly convert to Christianity, and Iran will become the 51st state.

One would hope that after the Repugs predicted and managed so ing much wrong in Iraq and how the Repug war has hurt the Repugs politically in USA, that they would not go bombing Iran where so much more could go wrong and destroy the Repugs power in Congress.
The Repugs don't give about the USA and especially not about the US govt, only about cutting taxes for the rich+corps and maintaining the Repugs' political power.
Starting a war in Iran would be too much of threat to the Repugs' political power.

Your thinking logical Boutons, but this is a faith-based government. Listen to the Pastor Hagee's and other mega-church leaders and you'll see that they are already preparing their 'flocks' for a cognitive acceptance of the bombing of targets in Iran.
