I don't think Manu or Barry would fare too well.
ok, we are in an interesting time period in the NBA. Only scrubs participate in the slam dunk contest, yet there are some spectacular dunkers around.
I miss the good ol' days, when superstars clamored to be a part of the contest.
Here is what I propose:
A major sponsor antes up a 1 million dollar prize to entice the current crop of super dunkers.
The field is great. Many former champs are still in the league and still in the 'prime."
my field:
- Kobe
- Vince
- McGreedy
- Richardson
- Manu
- Marion
- Lebron
- Bones Barry
- Fred Jones
- Wade
any takers? any body have an extra 1-mil to spare? it would be a classic!
I don't think Manu or Barry would fare too well.
Manu has great in-game dunks, but as far as creativity......eh
how bout he has Timmy try to block him on one of his attempts?![]()
Barry is a nod to a past champ.
Manu is for the international appeal.
agreed, neither is a contender in this field and could be left off.
Amir Johnson from the Pistons. First and only basket...wide open windmill dunk, off a crispy pass from DARKOOOOOOO.
I clean manure when I clear brush mostly at my ranch. Never saw it dunk anything.
Tp,
Manu,
Rasho,
Nazr,
Barry,
Orbeta,
Bowen,
Beno,
And Yes
Duncan
If we just wanted the best and most creative dunkers in the league:
Vince Carter
Desmond Mason
Jason Richardson
Kobe Bryant
Tracy McGrady
Ricky Davis
Gerald Wallace
Andre Iguodala
Richard Jefferson
The younger kids:
Josh Smith
Josh Howard
JR Smith
Dahntay Jones
Dorell Wright
Hakim Warrick
Nate Robinson
Kevin Martin
Tony Allen
International guys:
Andrei Kirilenko
Boris Diaw
Mckael Pietrus
There's only one:
Vince Carter - He is, by far, the best dunker of his generation, possibly of all-time.
