I was at Best Buy Friday afternoon (the one off 410 & McCullough), and Beno Udrih was there with his "posse" of random people speaking various languages. He was wearing a full-on Adidas white tracksuit and Top Gun sunglasses (slid down to the tip of his nose).

I'm not sure what he was doing, other than standing in the middle of the store trying to get noticed LOL. Seriously, the group of them were literally standing in the most high-traffic spot in the store...just STANDING. He walked around looking at DVDs for awhile (and stood next to me OMG :p), signed an autograph for a kid, and then left.

I still haven't been able to figure out what exactly he was doing, unless he had other people doing his shopping for him. Nor could I figure out why he had some sort of VIP/backstage pass thing around his neck. It looked kind of...desperate almost. And he was come across very standoff-ish, which made me not want to approach him.

But he sure was cute! And TALL! He looks so short on the court, but I forget that every other player is super huge.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — On the night before he flew home to Slovenia this summer, Beno Udrih stopped by Best Buy to purchase a few last-minute gifts for friends.

He arrived to find hundreds of people lined up outside the store. While they were waiting for an autograph session with Robert Horry, they soon spotted the Spurs' rookie.

Overwhelmed, Udrih phoned one of the team's media relations officials to rescue him.

"It was nice to sign some autographs," he said. "But it was crazy."

I remember standing in line when the rumor came down that Beno was in the store shopping. I thought people were lying because why would a Spur come where a Spurs event was being held and everyone and their mama was.
