(I know this is already in the troll forum)
Was she wrong or right?
I think she still should have put the baby in the car seat, no matter what the cir stances were.
On Monday, photos surfaced of Britney Spears driving her SUV in Malibu with her son, Sean Preston, sitting on her lap behind the wheel. The pictures raised obvious questions because her young son was not in a car seat.
A source close to Spears explains that the singer drove to Starbucks with her bodyguard in the passenger seat and son Sean in his car seat in the back. When the bodyguard went into the store to get the drinks, Spears took Sean out of his car seat and held him in her lap while she waited. Photographers approached the car, says the source, and became aggressive. Once her bodyguard climbed back into the car, Spears drove away while still holding her son.
Spears explains her actions in an exclusive statement to People magazine:
"Today I had a horrifying, frightful encounter with the paparazzi while I was with my baby. Because of a recent incident when I was trapped in my car without my baby by a throng of paparazzi, I was terrified that this time the physically aggressive paparazzi would put both me and my baby in danger. I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm's way, but the paparazzi continued to stalk us, and took photos of us which were sold to the media. I love my child and would do anything to protect him."

It's clear as day now, she is white trash.
The baby faced more danger riding in the car that way than he did the paparazi.
I understand where she was coming from trying to protect her child but, the safest place for a child in a moving vehicle is in his/her carseat. Had the paparazzi caused her to wreck her child could have been crushed. She could have put the child in the car seat while staying in the SUV, locking the doors and safely driving away.
White trash or whatever, she's stupid as . What do you think was more dangerous .. The baby getting his picture taken by paparazzi? Or they baby being injured (or worse) if she got in an accident?
She's been photographed close up carrying little Cheeto already several times, so I'm not buying the afraid .
There is never an excuse for driving with your child in your lap. It doesn't take a lot for the air bag to go off and she's very lucky it didn't.
Which is why sometimes I think one should have a license to be a parent.
She was parked in a parking lot when the paparazzi attacked her. What about just locking your door and hopping in your back seat and strapping the baby in? She drove for over 2 miles with the baby on her lap, she clearly isn't in danger in the pics -- her window is even rolled down.
That is no better than Michael Jackass dangling the baby over the balcony of a hotel.
Plus, she could have handed the baby to the bodyguard and he could have put him in the car seat.
She looks so terrified in those pictures.
That b!tch is dumb....if she had got into an accident...and the airbag went off...that kid would be toast...she should be ticketed at the least...
Right I added that to my previous post, she did not even need to get out.
Her body guard was in the car so why was Brit holding the baby and driving?Once her bodyguard climbed back into the car, Spears drove away while still holding her son.
haha Great minds S y
Let go of me you dumb beech.
Although I can't identify with trying to flee the papparazzi, I don't think there's ever a good excuse for not putting a baby in a car seat. It's dangerous and irresponsible. HEB is 4 blocks from my house and I can't imagine even driving there without buckling my little one into his seat. It makes me really angry to see little kids not strapped down in cars.
Yet, I am facinated by Britney and Kevin.I never paid any attention to her until she hooked up with him and starting using public bathrooms without any shoes on.
Not only that, but CA (as do most states) has very strict laws about car seats. And she doesn't have her seat belt on, so she could have gone flying too if she got in an accident.
Sometimes people need to learn the hard way. Maybe the death of her baby will wake her up.
It's a shame that it takes extreme things like that to wake people's asses up.
I thought that was a foregone conclusion.
Anyway, the "danger" from the paparazzi could not have been any worse for her or her child (or her bodyguard, for that matter) than driving a careening SUV down the street WITH ONE HAND with her baby not in a child safety seat. What if someone had pulled out in front of her while she was taking this evasive action? Her baby could have been laying out on the hood of that SUV.
Stupid woman.

Maybe she needs to wake up before that, the baby does not deserve to die because of moms stupidity. I dont care who she is if she s up enough the baby will get taken away from her.
She was just pissed someone was getting pics of the kid without paying.
Exclusive: Child Services and Britney
Agency makes call after seatbelt brouhaha
By TMZ.COM STAFF
(Feb. 7) -- TMZ has learned the LA County Department of Chidren and Family Services (DCFS) has contacted the LA County Sheriff's Department, inquiring about Britney driving with her baby on her lap without proper child restraint.
X17 Agency
TMZ contacted DCFS and an official would not say if the matter was under investigation.
Britney issued a statement saying, "I was terrified that this time the physically aggressive paparazzi would put both me and my baby in danger." She added, "I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm's way..."
The TV show 'EXTRA' has obtained the following statement from X17, the company that took the picture: "These pictures were taken in a very peaceful context, in which photographers exhibited no aggressive behavior. We believe the pictures speak for themselves."
With those genes, that baby is condemed to stupidity.
Amen.
her behavior is inexcusable IMO.
Also- in the 3rd pic you posted. She is clearly smiling/grinning; doesn't seem "frightened" to me. Even if she was in so much so called "danger" she should have done as Kori said (hop in the back and strap baby in).
Especialy considering that there have been car wrecks resulting from papparazzi chasing celebrities - you'd think she would take that extra moment to ensure the safety of her son.
Does she even realize what could've happened if she was even in a fender bender?? It doesn;t take that much force/collision to seriously injury a 4month old sitting on your lap infront of a steering wheel.
what a dumbass.
