It'd be a lot more exciting matchup, IMO. We've already played the Pistons. Been there, done that. I think Miami would be exciting because we have some similarities to them. They got a big man who can't hit FTs, so do we. We got a SG who is deadly the last five minutes of a game, so do they. The games would be more aesthetically pleasing, with a lot more points scored, so that should make ABC happy too.

Best of all, we'd probably finish them off in 5 games, so we wouldn't have to deal with all the drama. Sure, a matchup with the Pistons would be like a classic boxing duel, with two teams "battling for the championship of each other" but I don't think my heart could take another 7 game series with them.

Anyway, I know I'm dreaming. No way Miami beats those guys 4 out of 7. And if ABC had their way, it'd be Phx against Mia or the Lakers anyway...

    Detroit isn't scared of Miami...

Ya are now! Buahahahahaah! GL in your own conference! Buahahahahahah!

yeah i think we'd have no problem with miami HCA or no HCA against (tho we'll most likely have hca against them) but detroit i still believe is better than we are no question. but yes, they've looked very vulnerable lately.

as for detroit bein scared of miami

i'd be amazed if miami lasts 6 games against detroit when it matters

Pistons are going to kick the snot out of Miami. However, if Miami wins I think the spurs would be getting a break.

We'll be playing the Pistons unless one of Rip, Chauncey, or Ben gets hurt.

Detroit has peaked... They are a very mediocre 5-4 their last nine games... They should today they are vunerable to losing large 4th quarter leads...

Detroit gotta be lookin in the mirror about now..

If Shaq is healthy the entire conventional thinking RE: the playoffs will be turned on its ear.

Miami is a joke. They were due for a good game after getting owned by Dallas. Wade and Shaq both had incredible games. How often does that happen?

    Detroit has peaked
    I don't think so.

I just think Flipper is reverting to Minnesota status, in wearing out his starting 5, and not playing his bench.

    Delfino, Mcdeyss, Dale Davis, Arroyo.

Why bother paying big money to get these guys if you aren't gonna play em!??!?

    Makes no sense.

Detroit though has NOT peaked, and they aren't mediocre. That might be stretching it.

Any reason Maurice Evans wasn't playing? I thought he could've done a good job on Wade.

Heat won't have HCA and won't win a 7-game series vs Pistons.

Wade was a one-man show for one game.

Shaq and Wade just don't have enough help, thanks to Riles.

Pistons were +30 pts on 3Gs, but -9 in TOs.

Flip sees no reason in using a bench.

Hed be the perfect coach for Peter Holt!!!

Snaq is too fat and slow and Miami doesn't have the 3 pt shooting to keep Detroit honest. I'll be surpised if Miami wins two games, unless Flip truly does stink as a coach.

Miami and San Antonio would be an interesting matchup. You have Tim Duncan who is a three time NBA Finals MVP as is Shaq. Shaq and Tim each have three rings. Let them duke it out for the fourth ring. Spurs should win the series 4-2. Go Spurs.

Miami has no chance against Detroit. they might lose to the nets. They are that bad but I guess 1 game makes them a threat? wtf?
