Bring him on.
Thomas > Glenn Robinson
Hopefully he comes in with the bust his ass, play D, knock down the open shot mentality if he comes along.

New York was believed to be offering Penny Hardaway, Jamal Crawford and at least one other player, likely Trevor Ariza, David Lee or Nate Robinson, in a deal in which the Knicks would also take back center Kelvin Cato, whose $8.64 million salary comes off the cap at the end of the season.
I think this last part clarifies the Tim Thomas rumors. Chicago buys him out prior to March 1, and the Spurs sign him as a backup for the playoff run.The Chicago Bulls have had no luck in their efforts to move Tim Thomas and his expiring contract of nearly $14 million. The Bulls are expected to offer Thomas a buyout if they can't trade him, and he is hoping to sign with a playoff team prior to March 1, the deadline for players to eligible for the postseason.
Bring him on.

for Cato!??!
Cato is goin to the Pistons though......
The Cato trade with the Pistons is on hold, which indicates to me that Orlando's thinking about doing this NY thing.
We'd have our long three, and Holt and Co. would have to be happy with the price tag (cheap).
Im hoping the Piston trade goes through.
That weakens the Pistons IMHO.
actually the price tag for him to be happy would be cheap, but, your right. We'd have our long three, and Holt and Co. would have to be happy with the price tag
I would have ZERO qualms about Timmy Thomas coming on the team.
I like his spunk too. Him wanting to kick Kenyon Martin's ass I thought was pretty in cool.
Tim Thomas sucks.
Who do you want em to get then for that price dumb !??!
dirty. you like his spunk? hehehahahahhoeohaoheoha
The GRob scenario, complete with being an ex-Buck SF.
The last part might happen.
I'd love to get Tim Thomas on the cheap.
