Where's mouse with a photoshop'd pic of Sequ dunking?![]()
WHICH MATTERED......WHEN???
He's quoting the Vince Carter commercial...
Coaches always told me that 2 points is 2 points.
Blahblah
Those coaches couldn't dunk.
I saw that commercial yesterday.
It is true though, 2 points is 2 points doesn't matter how you get them.
My Bad...I do not watch a lot of TV.
Thats not true. Whats more likely to ignite a crowd and rally your team: A fifteen foot jump shot, or a bad ass drunk?
Whats more likely to miss: A weak layup, or taking it up strong to throw it down?
true....true
i cant dunk but i can do a pretty cool reverse lay up
"Can't get dunk without being drunk" - Vin Baker
But 3 points > 2 points2 points is 2 points
The bad ass drunk, specially if he is throwing plastic cups to the players.Thats not true. Whats more likely to ignite a crowd and rally your team: A fifteen foot jump shot, or a bad ass drunk?
My old coach used to tell me that 2 points is 2 points.
My old coach couldn't dunk.
what about your present coach? can he dunk?
I agree and disagree with this saying that 2 points is 2 points. It makes sense because technically, it's true, 2 point are the same whether they are layed in, jump shot in, or slammed in.
But on the other hand, the dunk is 2.5 points.
It brings energy.
It pumps the crowd.
Take last night for example, I was at the game, and Iggy's dunks were worth more than 2 points.
After his first slam in the first possession, that place was rumbling.
After the AI to AI half court alley oop dunk, it was even louder, and that's when es starting cheering for the rest of the game.
I think it helped them win, the croud initiated from the dunks, and the refs or course.
I doubt Lawrence Frank can dunk.
BTW, is Lawrence Frank even the Nets coach anymore???
Malik over Mutumbo in the 2003 Finals was more than 2 points.
That was a MONSTEROUS dunk. One of the best I've seen.
And now i have to watch the tape again.![]()
Man, I can't count all the times I rewound that play.
Damnit, I miss Malik.
Against Indiana on a crucial possession Tim drove all the way to the lane and instead of dunking the ball (which he could have easily done) he decided to try and lay it up. He missed. We won that game but barely. Layups are not always a gaurantee. But if your 7 feet tall and in front of the rim a dunk is.
