LeBron is from Akron, which is nearby, and Cleveland was the team he rooted for as a kid. I think that's about all they have going for them. As for the money, I read in SI (like a year ago, so it could have changed, i dunno) that Nike might make up the difference in his pay if he wanted to take a pay cut and go to a contender. I don't know if there's truth to that, but it would open up the market dramatically if so.
