I would love to.
Although, this year, for some reason, has a different feel than 99, 03, and 05.
But 3 in 4 would be unreal.
I was driving around Sunday morning listening to ESPN radio when the announcer said:
I panicked -- I wasn't going back to my place for several hours and I hadn't set the TIVO. I didn't realize the Spurs were playing the Cavs today. How could I have overlooked this. . .Later today on ESPN it's Lebron against the defending World Champions! Don't miss it -- should be a great matchup.
Then he started talking about the Detroit Pistons -- they were playing the Cavs. He just forgot that the Spurs were the defending champs and assumed it was the Pistons. He never corrected himself, but it's an easy mistake to make, I guess.
Is it just me, or would you really like to see three in four years.![]()

That feel is "been there, done that", IMO. This team is biding its time - and able to because of the extremely weak league.
It wins when Tim is playing like crap. It wins when Manu is playing like crap. It wins even on the rare night that Tony is playing like crap (at a WC playoff opponents house, no less).
Past Spurs teams could win at 80% - this one seemingly can win at 60.
The question is, can they turn it on? Yes, and they will; 4 times each series.
I agree. It's going to be very hard to beat this Spurs team 4 out of 7 times, especially if we really start to gel like we do at this time every year.
what is it with BSPN radio assholes still thinking this is the 04-05 season and that the pist-ons are still the champs
Man I've heard several announcers throughout the season make comments such as this. Talking about the Pistons, "We'll you know, they are the defending world champions," etc. It's like WTF?
Spurs gotta get themselves bigger badder wrestling belts!![]()
We go for rings, the belts![]()
