Congrats to Noel Felix and The Princess.
Too bad the Spurs missed out.

The Sonics signed Noel Felix to a 10-day contract, Sonics GM Rick Sund announced today.
A 6-foot-9 forward out of Fresno State, Felix began this season in training camp with the Sonics and averaged 2.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 10.8 minutes per game in five preseason games. He was waived by the team Oct. 29, 2005.
Since then, Felix has appeared in 41 games with the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the Continental Basketball Association, where he averaged 15.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per games on 54.4 percent (259-476) shooting from the field.
Last season, Felix averaged 15.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game with the Yakima Sun Kings of the CBA.
The Sonics roster now stands at 13 players.
Congrats to Noel Felix and The Princess.
Too bad the Spurs missed out.
Now if the Pistons can please blowout the Sonics early so that he gets lots of playing time tomorrow, I'll be happy.
How about the Sonics blowout the Pistons and he gets pt?
Hey, that's great! Hope it continues to go well with him, Kori.
I was trying to be realistic.![]()
Blowout or not, the Sonics could use Noel against Detroit.
congrats to noel!
too bad its not here, but we will all have to settle for him getting his first real shot up in seattle.
Sucks that his first game is against one of the best defensive teams. Too bad it isn't against the Knicks.
May he be the next Chris Anderson...
Without the drug/grunge rocker problem
Living the dream is always cool. I'm glad that Noel's hard work will at least get him a chance to say he's played in the show. Hopefully, he can turn some heads and make a career of it. It's great news!
Hopefully I can watch more Sonics games this season. Watching his athleticism will be a welcome change from Duncan's game.
He's grown so much as a basketball player in the almost 2 years we've been friends. It makes me proud that he's gotten this far. If he just gets this 10-day contract and that's it, I'll still be proud. But now that he's made it this far, I want so badly for him to find an NBA team to stick with and grow. We'll see.
If you guys knew how many hours I've spent on the phone/email/text with him since July 2005 counseling, mentoring, ing, laughing, you'd understand why when he got word about this 10-day, he messaged me with "WE did it!"
In that time period he played for:
Spurs summer league team
Italian League 2
Yakima (CBA)
Philipines League
Nets summer league team
Sonics summer league team
Team USA
Sonics training camp/preseason
Sioux Falls (CBA)
and now the Sonics for the Big Show.
I know you are a fan of Felix so where would he be better off:
1. On the Sonic bench waiting for garbage time.
2. In the CBA or some American minor league
3. Europe.
Where would he get the best compe ion, coaching and experience?
Right now, on the Sonics bench. He played all season in the CBA and the Sonics are giving him a look for next year. So it's the best place for him to be right now.
Philippines ? really? What team did he played for?
