Excuse me but I'm still riding the Det win last night.

In your minds. Does Den become a 'problem' in your plan now?

Keep it simple. I am not a stats guy.

You can't say that Denver causes a problem after one win. They aren't that good yet.

Denver's going to be on the other side of the bracket, so the only time the Spurs could play them is the WCF, and frankly at this point I'd rather play Denver than Phoenix (who could have a relatively healthy Amare).

In a battle of Denver vs. Dallas I'd have to think long and hard because Denver is a physical bunch. And the Mavs ... well, they are the Mavs.

I, for one, think Denver has assumed the role of NBA favorite after their win last night. If the Nuggets don't win the championship now, it should be considered robbery and there should be an investigation. [/Bill Walton]

lets see, when the nugs beat the Spurs at SA earlier in the season they claimed it was the biggest win all season, then nugs went on to loose 6 of the next 9. I dont think a team that handles success that way is a threat to anyone.

Denver has the potential to be very tough. I believe they can give any team a run for their money.

Denver needs health and consistency. If they have those two things going for them, they will give lots of teams trouble including the Spurs.

I actually think Denver can be a pretty tough out, but I think the lack of bruising size up front will eventually catch up with them in a playoff series. Their physical play will make them a threat to someone, though. And it's possible, with a 3 seed, that they could get through to the WCSF and make some noise at that juncture.

The Mavs are what, 19-1 in their last 20 games.....Hmm, I wonder where that one came from? A 20 point blowout from the Nuggets maybe?

That was by far our worst game out of the last 40 that we've played, turnovers, not hitting open shots, stuff like that, and we still only lost by 9. That's not bad considering how bad we played.

Not sure if many of you remember me. I posted during the playoffs for a bit.

Denver can be as good as they want to be and as bad as they want to be. When they play with energy, intensity and give full effort, they are a handful for anyone. Melo is now a star who can score against anyone. He's also an incredible clutch player who hits key shots at key times.

But they have so many games where they just don't show up and give full effort. As of now, they are nothing more than a curiousity. If the chemistry and effort become every night things, they'll be dangerous.

I REALLY like the way a healthy Denver team matches up with Dallas. KMart usually gives Dirk fits and Dallas hates our physical play. We've played them three times this year, haven't been healthy in one of em and they've went like this:

    1) Denver at Dallas - Denver has 20+ point lead late in the third quarter. Dallas hits a couple of threes, gains momentum, gets a few calls, Nuggets choke, they win.

    2) Dallas at Denver - OT game. Melo hit a three to send it there. Nuggets shot poorly from the foul line in the game

    3) Dallas at Denver - Blowout for Denver. Simply no contest. Dallas never in the game.

As for Denver vs. SA? Nah, no chance right now. Denver vs. Phoenix? Doubtful. We need better perimeter defense.

Still, if we could just get healthy and stay that way for 20 games or so, we could make some things happen.
