Arkansas 74-57
Brewer 25pts, Modica 19

Both young squads although Arkansas has double the talent on the table.
We're 20-8, 9-6 and peaking at the right time so I hope to God we don't lose the fear we had going into the Florida game on the outside of the Tourny looking in. We are a lock now but it's about winning games now, bragging rights.
Since the death of 40 Minutes of and Nolans ignorant racist ass left us, we've been in turmoil with craptacular 3 years of being owned now looking like a distant memory. No more being upset at lost big time recruits, we have three 5 stars, or four depending on what site you look at and one four star headed to the Hill next fall with the SEC Player of the Year (almost locked) Ronnie Brewer coming back along with a deep four man frontcourt who can run with the best of them except for the likes of two names, LaMarcus and Sheldon. Darian Townes and Steven Hill are NBA material and just sophmores. Charles Thomas is like a mini-Shaq and Steven Hunter like a mini-Sheed. Hunter has that bad at ude and I don't take thing going on he needs to lose though.
Arkansas basketball hasn't looked this bright since the last years of Nolan. So I had to vent. This game tomorrow is a statement game. Stan Heath is 4-23 overall in 3 years on the road at Arkansas although he is a ty coach he is an amazing recruiter so hopefully we can move him aside and get a big time coach to lead our talent back to the final four.
I can promise one thing, .. well two things. Two of those 5 star stud recruits will be starting next year after Modica graduates, (NBDL is next I'm guessing for him, RimRockers) and we will be preseason top 20 for shizzle. SEC writers and media are already talking about possibly the best SEC team being assembled in several years since Kentucky's championship some years ago. That is a huge amount of hype, but Arkansas basketball has been there many times so I think we will not dissappoint.
So here's to the best weekend of my life. My girl is home, the Spurs are winning, got a good job now, and it needs to be capped with the slaughtering of some Bulldogs.
I'm off the soapbox now.
ps- GL to Texas tomorrow, I think that's when they play. You guys get us next year in Austin as we start the Hogs/Horns 2 year series @ Austin then @ the Hill. Then you guys get to see what I'm all excited about.
It's about freaking time.
Arkansas plays Georgia again for the first round of the SEC Tourny. Sweet.

NBA Comparison: Marquis Daniels
Strengths: 2 guard with great versatility ... Very intriguing because of his ability to run the show from the point guard position ... Has good leadership abilities ... Creates well off the dribble with a quick first step ... Elevates his teammates play with his passing ability ... Excellent vision, creating easy baskets for open teammates ... Thoroughbred type of athlete, very strong frame, think legs, extremely fast in the open floor ... Long arms and quick hands make him a defensive nightmare ... Great rebounder at the guard position ... Aggressive defender ... Anticipates passes well and forces a ton of steals with his on ball pressure ... Has range out to college three with good accuracy ... Has a great feel for the game which comes from being around basketball his whole life ...
Weaknesses: A childhood water slide accident left him with a small bone protruding from his triceps area which has created an abnormal shooting form ... Not a great spot up shooter, makes most of his shots moving towards the basket, a rhythm shooter ... Much quicker than he is athletic, wont wow you with monster dunks, but not a bad leaper ... Mostly effective with the ball in his hands, so some feel he must dominate the ball to be effective ...
Notes: His father (Ron Brewer) was drafted 7th in the 1978 NBA Draft. He had an 8 year career averaging 11 ppg, and averaged over 18 ppg. in the 1982 season.
Yeah? That site sucks.
He isn't 6-7, or 217lbs...
He is not any comparision to that dude either. nbadraft.net is seriously el-weako
Beat em again... 84-64, playing Florida again tonight.
Florida will be tough.
Yeah we beat them at home once already, this game has special things and is by far the "biggest game of the sec tourny" so far.
-Arkansas is the hottest team in the SEC, winners of 6 straight, 2 over top 10 teams
-Florida wants revenge over getting beat at our house
The winner of this game will end up SEC Champs.
