Milosevic was the secretary general (leader) of the Serb Comunist Party before becoming president of Serbia (a post that could only be held by high ranking comunist officials). He was married to Mirjana Markovic one of the most influencial figures in the Serb Comunist party who is widely considered to be instrumental to Milosevic's rapid rise to power.
Although I agree Stalins body count is bigger, this two criminals come from the same school of thoughts.

Milosevic is not a communist, he is a nationalist without any vision for Serbia. He disassebled a fictional federacy (Yugoslavia) with his expansionism. He killed socialism in Yugoslavia and replaced it with national states...an idea that existed just before the WWII.
He demolished the whole region. Yugoslavia had a bad economy. Now they have Srebrenica in the middle of Bosnia.
People don't care.. As long as Bush is the bad guy they can get there rocks off..
