The NBA says it will debut new "I Love This Game" promotional spots on TNT Thursday night.
One of the two new spots features popular San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili.
The Ginobili spot was slated to break during TNT's telecast of the Minnesota Timberwolves-Golden State Warriors game. Another spot, this one featuring Miami Heat center Shaquille O'Neal, was scheduled to run for the first time during his team's Thursday encounter with the Boston Celtics.
The spots were produced by NBA Entertainment and incorporate quotes from inspirational figures. NBA officials say the promotional ads focus on the game itself. Previous spots have focused on fans and celebrities.
Upcoming spots will feature Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, New Jersey Nets guard Vince Carter, Philadelphia 76ers guard Allen Iverson and Denver Nuggets guard Earl Boykins.

Oh I thought he sold out to another local company . . .
I saw it last night and was going to start a thread on it... but got distracted...
It shows him going to the hoop and getting hammered down (what's funny is that in the clip they use, Ginobili is called for an offensive foul...)....
And then it has the Confucious quote, that says (paraphrasing)...
"Our greatest glory consists not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." or something like that...

Didn't Nike and DWade do almost the exact same thing?
you can watch it on NBA.com under editor pics
Thanks for the tip! Very nice!
Haven't they released a similar ad with Nash, followed by a famous quote by Gandhi?
It was a nice ad and everything, but I think it's too "serious" a commercial for sports.
Has anyone bumped into Manu and asked if he's still a Time Warner customer?
maybe this will help him stay healthy and kick ass in playoffs
That is so something I would do.

can you post the direct link to the video...i think i'm going blind because i can't find it...
That video of Manu driving shows him getting no lift prior to the collision. It's as though he stepped on somebody's foot or stepped wrong somehow. He's not hurt though. Maybe he just bailed out but that's not his normal drive.
Thanks for the tip tmttrio. Clip works with the saying.
They should have shown the clip where 'Melo, Martin, and Buckner all hit Manu....
And then shown him hit his free-throws.
link?
tonight was actually the first time i saw it. its actually a pretty cool commercial.
it was DWade and Converse
