    The verdict is in.
47-5 with a night or two off.
    4-8 on back to backers.

This is no time to continue to around, we can pass Dallas and Detroit.
Yes it's Houston without TMac and with Van Gundy.
Still, the stats have spoken, it's overwhelming the Spurs suck on 2nd night of B2Bs.

Do the right thing, Pop. Play the bench, rest Dunkin and GNob.

Yao's streaking, and Rasho usually has good games vs the Rockets. That's the matchup that really matters tonight. The Spurs should be able to put the boots to them early and play the starters light in the second half.

    When did they become inhuman??

Parker prob will be tired, he played an assload of minutes last night in the second half, as did Ginobili, Duncan, and Mohammed.

    I thought they were starting a 4 game /5 days stretch but it's B2B, 2 days rest, B2B.

Other top teams do a LOT better than the Spurs with their records on second of B2Bs.

Spurs don't have a body problem with B2B, not an age problem, they have a head problem, last season and this season.

    ?

Didn't they win the ring last year?

1 series they didn't have the advantage in, they won all 3 road games.

    So what is your point

This should not be an easy game. The Rockets know how to defend the Spurs. The problem is, the Rockets can't score very well other than through Yao Ming with McGrady out. If Wesley sits out, that really crimps Houston at both ends.

Even at that, it's a Houston home game and the Spurs are playing their 2nd game in two nights, so this could easily be another 80-75 game.

    Win is a win.

Oberto should be able to play some minutes.

If Nesterovic can pull his head out of his ass, and play good D, and somewhat be OK on offense.

My point, not that repeating it will allow your fat head to take it on board, is that the 06 Spurs have head problem with second of B2B, not physical, not age.

If the Spurs were just .500 on second of B2B, they'd have a B2B record, like other tops teams, but with a overall record 2 - 4 games better than the 2nd place team.

    The verdict is in.
47-5 with a night or two off.
    4-8 on back to backers.
Casey said, "Statistics are the biggest liars" because they will support almost anything you want to believe.

I am not saying the Spurs are good up the B2B's because 4 - 8 is 4 - 8 no matter how you cut it. However rather than focusing on one statistic, we should know not all B2B's are equal.

One team may be on a B2B that is a 4th game in 5 nights on the road, going against a well rested opponent on the enemy's floor. Another team may get a B2B at home after several days of rest and get on opponent who is at the end of a long road trip AND also on a B2B.

Playing on equal rest, I think the Spurs deeper bench will more than make up for a few old legs they may have. That won't make the Spurs travel to Houston for a B2B easy, especially when the Rockets have not played since the 15th. However how bad a team plays in individual B2B's with the regular season quirks of schedule, won't mean jack when all teams are on equal footing in the playoffs.

    TMAc is still out?

How many games has he missed this season?

I know, he is a great talent but he is worthless if he can't play.

Yes but it could mean the difference between Home Court Advantage or not.
See Spurs vs Pistons last year. Also could be the difference between #1 and #4 seed.

Am I suggesting the Spurs go all out to get Home Court? No. But they have a deep bench, why not use it. Dunkan, Gnob, and after last night even Parker could use a breather. So why use the Three Headed Monster (Nazr-Rasho-Fabs) and GF Barry/Finley and pgBeno tonight? Keeps the bench sharp, gives the starters a rest. T-E-A-M is what matters. 4-8 is 4-8 no matter how you slice it. I do see the points about when and who they played the B2Bs, but its still a glaring stat and obvious. Esp with Dunkan and GNob.

    and regular season doesn't counts

    Tell Bobacats that

They shouldn't be tired cause they had a 2 day break between the games. And I though they will eat Phoenix for lunch. They didn't. Also they do not have to think about next game being in 2 days from now cause they are playing at the 21st of March a back to backer also

    1 moth till the playoffs

Uh, well, they would've but, Duncan missed FTs, and some guys had tough nights shooting, Brent Barry, Ginobili and Parker with turnovers.

    Phoenix is good.

    They beat a good team.

There is no shame in that game last night, other than the defensive performance.

Yup. The defense is what makes a concern.
Duncan is not that great and Nazr still sometimes doesn't know where to be on defense. Horry is not full strenght. manu and TP are playing similar to the last season.
WellSuns are one of the best ofensive and shooting ball clubs. But the defense in th NO game wasn't great also.

The spurs won a board by a big margin but they didn't took full advantage of it.

I'm still waiting for Manu I mean MANU!!! and Robert and hopefully Tims PF won't be bothering him that much at the end of a season...

Ps. I think I'm going to a frickin sleep

    The defense will fix itself.

If theres one thing to NOT be concerned with, its the D.
