To New York in the Nazr trade.
I just looked at the draft order and am I hallucinating or do the Spurs NOT have a 1st round pick?
Anyone know who we traded it to?
To New York in the Nazr trade.
ahh... well i think it was worth it then. especially if we are able to resign him this summer
Oh well.
Man, I really wanna bring Scola over, the buyout.
Spurs, more than likely WON'T resign Nazr this summer.
i think its a little premature to say whether we will sign him or not... i think a lot has to do with how he does in the playoffs
I wouldn't say it is.
He'll get a 5 year 48 million dollar contract.
Malik Rose, David Lee, Josh Boone and $3M for nothing won't look like too big of a steal come September.
Nazr's contract won't fit the budget for SA. They're already bumping up against the LuxTax and Tim, Tony, and Manu will all get either 10% or 12.5% raises over the next 4-5 years, having signed under the old CBA. If you're over the tax, even a modest $5M a year contract for Nazr would cost you double that.
Average big men always get overpaid. The Spurs just aren't going to be the ones to do it.
Unless you're doing the Spurs books, and don't have to pay Malik like $15-16M over the next two years....

Josh who?Malik Rose, David Lee, Josh Boone and $3M for nothing won't look like too big of a steal come September.
He's projecting who NY will pick and lose to Larry Brown's rookie bench black hole.
Nobody SA could have picked will be any better than who we have stashed in Europe + $15M in their pockets.
Common sense from ex rules again.
nothing? i know we should not live in the past but sounds hard to erase what nazr has done for us since he arrived. I am not a big fan of Nazr but come on...
Two rings might be a nice consolation prize, though.
Are you kidding? New York is going to sign-and-trade him to a six-year, 73 million dollar contract for Jalen Rose and their 2008 first-round draft pick.
they better re-sign him
Sum lame team under the cap is goin to offer nazr sum bling, lets try and sign n trade him to those teams for sum draft picks.
