I don't see what you all find amusing. My uncle John was killed by a snake on a plane in vietnam. No one laughed then. This is a serious movie and i really cant wait to see if it shines any light on my uncle john. God rest his soul.

My whole family is actually planning our family reunion around the realease of this movie. We are going to have a huge potluck dinner then the boys dress like snakes and the girls dress like planes and we will have a moment of silence for uncle john while we chase each other around before finally seeing the movie and refelecting on the life of the man we loved so much. God Bless you Hollywood.

What, is this some kind of joke to all you guys? This stuff actually happens. forget losing your testicles or whatever you want to make up, people ACTUALLY DIE from this kind of stuff. My mother was on a plane once and she was really scared that maybe there could have been some sign of a snake or...maybe a spider. OOH god, spiders on a plane. where could you go? or pirhanas, they could realistically injure passengers on planes, unlike beavers or other tame animals found in south africa. I remember on flight 4527 from Amerstberg, Rico Port, Alberta, there was a Brazillian Ochrcon Ferret that was set loose from storage, and the trailer from this movie gave me shocking flashbacks from that flight.

I once thought I saw a snake on a plane, but it was actually a Hooded Scalyfoot, which is a legless lizard. So it was a false alarm.

I am really glad that this movie is being made to raise awareness about the issue of having snakes on a plane. Even if they never make into the cabin, think of how much damge they can do in the baggage area.

Exactly. Lifetime was originally interested in producing this film, but they found that Samuel L. Jackson didn't appeal to their target demographic.

dudes, this isnt a comedy. this isnt even fiction.
this film is a retelling of actual events.
    I know... i was there.
and so was samuel L. he was the man who saved us all. when he aimed a rocket launcher at the onslaught of attacking snakes we were sure he would blow open the plane ensuring our deaths, but we were wrong. the rocket hit at such an angle as to avoid any fdamage to the plane itself, and when a snake tore off the hatch of the plane, Samuel stood in the doors place, using his body to keep the plane airtight.
    that man saved my life.

What is all this laughter about? Do you guys not see that this film will be first in line for next years Oscar Awards. Imdb definetly has there information wrong. I got it from Samuel Jackson himself. Snakes On A Plane is an autobiographical film about Sam Jackson and his bought with cancer of the penis. I KNOW, I KNOW it shocked me too. I mean Sam Jackson beat penis cancer and is brave enough to re-live his experience. The tagline is "GET THIS SNAKE OFF MY MOTHA*UKIN' PENIS". After he told me that I began to cry as a tear feel from his own eye. It was a touching moment. If you guys see any film this year go see "Snakes on a Plane" you will stand up and clap for Sam Jackson and his triumphant penis, I know I will. You all we believe in the power of one man's penis.

I dont know what the big deal is. Sure, snakes can be scary, but I was once on board a flight from Miami to Hartford and the pilot and co-pilot both ate bad fish sandwiches and were unable to fly the plane. The flight attendants pleaded for anyone who could fly a plane to come forward and try to save all of our lives. Thats right, the only one who could fly the plane was an 8 ft long albino boa. God bless him.

    Bump.

    Dude--Snakes On A Plane!

Samuel L. Jackson knows that he's cashing a check and not making a Scorsese film, so why should the studio signing his check try and dress up a perfectly good snakes-on-a-plane flick with a stupid le like Pacific Air Flight 121? From Collider.com:
Beaks: One of those films that you’re working on right now is... well, it’s called Pacific Air 121

Jackson: Snakes on a Plane, man!
    Beaks: Exactly.
Jackson: We’re totally changing that back. That’s the only reason I took the job: I read the le.
Beaks: Snakes on a Plane! That’s everything!
Jackson: You either want to see that, or you don’t.
Beaks: And how are those snakes? Besides being on a plane?
Jackson: Some of them are aggressive, some of them are cool. They’re interesting to watch, and interesting to interact with. It depends on what kind of snake it is. One day, it took, like, four guys to bring in this 350 lb. Burmese Python. We were all like, “Where’s that goin’?” And I watched an Albino Cobra strike airplane seats the other day. I watched it from another studio. It’s actually been a fun show. But we’re taking the name back!
Seriously, though. Snakes on a Plane is probably the the best le for a movie that we've ever heard. We'll even lend them a tagline for the one-sheet, should they decide to ride this one all the way to first place: "Anacondas on land are for pussies. SNAKES ON A PLANE!"

    Little pilot factoid..

There is a switch called "Pussy Warmer" on boeings...

It's to warm up the cargo hold for pet's. Some dude made that up and it stuck.

But it's serious cause if they forget like all 1000 Japanese koi are like dead and melted inside boxes etc....
