Urgent - Can anyone reccomend a plumber/handyman that can work today?

Shower knob is broken and is leaking. I might be able to fix it myself, but I'm too chicken I'll something up and would rather just pay someone.

Can someone reccomend someone for today? That leak is driving me insane right now.

That's an easy job, but it could cost you big bucks with the wrong guy. Parts are less than $50 at home depot, and if you turn off your water, you have all day to figure it out.

If you live in an older home? or if you use American Standard? you can just buy the washers you need to stop the leak, but if you live in a KB or one one these houses they take only 7 days to build? You may have to replace the whole cartridge, what is the name on the knob?

Yeah, I called a few places and the prices they gave me where SICK. I think I'm just going to do it myself (and then start a plumbing business to become rich). The knob manufacturer is Gerber. The hot water knob has slipped in the past, but its completely unhinged now.

Does anyone know what I'll need to replace or will I need to get a whole new set of knobs?

You can get the parts from 4.00 dollars to 10.00 dollars. go to the front of your house with a cresent wrench or pliers and turn off the water.

I think you have to replace the same thing we had to .. which is that cartridge behind the knob. It's like $8.

I was watching Sportscenter this morning when they had breaking news and went straight to the track. They were airlifting him out, but I guess he was still alive then because nobody really knew what was going on. It was weird watching it all unfold.
