I didn't think that Joe D had a chance. I thought because his best seasons were on some bad teams, and most people just remember he was a nice guy who was the 1989 Finals MVP.

He was always a hero of mine, but I wasn't sure how others perceived him outside this city.

I've spent the better part of the last two days (in my free time, which has been fleeting to be sure) wondering who will present Dumars in the hall. I'm hoping it's Isiah Thomas.

I hope Adrian Dantley goes in with this class, too. We'll find out tonight. He was a great scorer, and taught Dumars how to be a basketball mentor when he came into the league.
