I like Kinky Friedman's suggestion: The San Antonio Fire Ants.

Otherwise, since there's good offshore fishing opportunities less than 3 hours away, and the Lakers and Jazz didn't change their names when they moved, I don't see any reason why they can't be the San Antonio Marlins.

And if you need baseball connections, a few teams that didn't change their names upon moving would be the Oakland (Philadelphia) Athletics, the Atlanta (Boston) Braves, the San Francisco (New York) Giants, and the Los Angeles (Brooklyn) Dodgers.

Of course some baseball team name changes were perfect...Texas (Washington Senators) Rangers, and the Washington (Montreal Expos) Nationals being perfect examples. And weren't the Milwaukee Brewers originally the Seattle Pilots? Or am I mistaken?

Anyways, if we get the Marlins, I see no reason to change the name. But if we must, I vote Fire Ants...or Defenders...or , Iguanas is still not taken, so those three.

Fire Ants and Iguanas sound freakin minor league.

    Missions would work very well.
