Just read about this on the AAS/Bevo Beat section. John Brantley, top rated QB in the state of Florida has verbally committed to UT. He's also one of the top QB prospects in the nation. Memo to Ryan Mallet out of Texarkana, you should have committed eary! Anyway, the rich get richer, right? I also really like UT going into the state of Florida and getting one of their top players. Back in the day it was always Miami, Florida St. etc. coming to Texas and taking our top players. Well, what comes around goes around, and I've been waiting for some of this to come around for a long time.
I read on rivals where there's a good chance he's going to redshirt as well. Brantley, combined with the John Chiles recent verbal commit, sets Texas up beautifully for the forseeable future what with McCoy and Snead competing for the starting job next fall.
As if the talent gap between UT and Aggsy wasnt wide enough already...

Damn, the Brantley kid looks to have a really good arm and puts the ball right on target. It will be interesting to see if Chiles can compete at the QB spot or they move him to WR/CB. Thanks for the video clips!

Are you kidding me? 19 verbal commits and we haven't even finished the Spring semester, damn! Mack is really putting that National Championship to good use with recruiting. Also, one of the best aspects of getting all these top notch OL recruits is that ou is having problems with their OL, a few of them have left the team and from what I've read their OL will be a huge question mark heading into this season. You hear all that Peterson?
