have you ever heard of the Borges story called the 3 versions of Judas? he makes an argument that Judas was the son of God because God could not be a man without committing a sin. Judas represented all of man by by making a sacrifice of himself. He also states that the Judas kiss would have been totally unnecessary to identify Jesus to authorites, which is interesting.
