No heart, no hustle, no sense of urgency, worse yet- NO GO-TO-GUY.

When Fabricio Oberto is the only guy to care in a home game in April against your top divisional rival, you have insurmountable deficiencies.

Spurs won't make it past the first round- mark my words.

You can at least wait until the game is over. We still have a quarter of ball to play.

I had a dream several nights ago that they lost in the first round to the Utah Jazz 4-2.

This is the same team I saw get gang-banged on Wednesday night by the Kings on their own floor.

The Spurs of old would have responded with more of an effort tonight. I think any real champion would have. Bottom line, no matter how much certain people don't want to admit and keep saying "wait till the playoffs", we are not a championship team this year. We need to get younger and more athletic in the offseason and we need to assess whether or not Tim Duncan is a horse that should be shot (i.e.- can he be 100% again). Paying a guy 17 million a year to get 10 and 10 doesn't make much sense.

I thought they played with a lot of heart and a lot of hustle tonight, but they simply got outplayed.

Kind of hard to win a game when you shoot 38% from the field. The defense was there tonight but the bounce wasn't. Plus Nowitzky (or however you spell it) goes off and Josh Howard plays the game of his life.

I still think we can beat any team in the NBA in a 7 game series regardless if Duncan is in top form.

You bailed on the team last year and last time I checked, they won the championship.

Is this a in' race to be the first one to predict the demise of the Spurs? Keep this up and you'll win hands down.

Things aren't rosy on my end either. I'm worried about the back-to-back home losses. Supposedly SPAM is in effect.

I agree... Spurs played with no intensity tonight. But I will blame Pop and Tim on this tonight. How do you keep Parker in the game when Van Exel was as doing as well as he was. Pop benched him twice both times when he started heating up from the field. Tony clearly did not have it from the field tonight plus he was making some bad decisions when penetrating to the basket causing turnovers. Tim needs to man up and stop allowing himself to get pushed around. He was shoving 40 and 50 on the Mavericks a couple years back.

On a bright note, I am pleased to see Oberto play the way he did. I don't think we will lose the first round but if we are not careful we can lose to the Mavericks in the second round.

Its amazing how people equate not winning with not playing with intensity. I'll tell you this, and I'll put it in big black letters so that it will burn into your head:

If you don't play with intensity in a game like this, you lose by 20+.

We lost. That's the bottom line. Intensity, heart, passion, whatever. Tim Duncan, who is my favorite player and who I whole heartedly believe is the greatest PF ever, just played like absolute crap, as did Tony. I'm tired of seeing these peformances by the Spurs, especially in our building.

I really want to believe in SPAM, but are we really peaking?

Go Spurs. When you guys play worth a , you're unstopable.

Give Dallas their due credit. They are a different team this year, capable of playing lockdown defense and are loaded with streaky shooters. Tonight they hit big shots and played nice D. happens. This is the NBA, its not like the Spurs played a rec team of amateurs. Again, happens. It sucks that the have lost two straight at home, but they still have the upper hand to win the division le and top seed.

I am, however, very concerned about how much Tim Duncan seemingly has to labor to get ANYTHING on either end of the court, often resorting to whining to officials as a bailout. Whatever ails him, I'm praying that a lottery will be hit and this will all turn out to be a gimmick and that come Game 1 of the first round, he'll smirk at Sacramento and tear them a new one. Doubtful, but he does have a track record and I guess there's always hope.

Tim Duncan is my favorite. Especially since he's a 10+ year veteran who travels in our last shot at coming back.

I don't blame him though, not at all. He didn't have much to do with this loss, it was Pop being an ass. Duncan has not been that great on offense this year, 1 vs 1 with the game on the line, let someone else take the shot.

We just got outplayed . It was a close game to the final seconds, but too many turnovers and not enough shots falling did it for us. Tony and Tim had a lot of crucial turnovers when we were within 3 in the last 2 minutes. Dirk was just on fire but the Spurs were still in it. Mavs are a good matchup that's all.

There is nothing more pathetic than So-Called Fans, completely giving up on their team after EVERY SINGLE GAME changes their mind about them. You guys should go slit your wrists already , dumbasses.

The Spurs as a whole didn't play that well. Tony didn't play well either. I don't blame Pop. He didn't force anyone on the Spurs to miss their shots.

The fact that Detroit lost to Orlando proves anything can happen in an NBA game.

POPS not making the proper adjustments contributed to this loss as much as anything else.
