Man, tall dudes just can't catch a break (no pun intended) when it comes to injuries in the NBA. Sucks - Yao was finally starting to put it all together in the second half.
What?!?!
Link??
Damn that sux! He was having a break out year too.
it sucks... wow its horrible.... even though it increases our chances of winning that game at Houston that much, it's just terrible to see these sorta thing happen.
Rockets could get a better draft pick and hopefully Yao recovers.
Well, it's not like the Rockets were going to make the playoffs anyways. They've had a lot of bad luck this season. Hopefully, they'll be able to get a good lottery pick out of this.
Sadly Yao is racking up the foot injuries. Something tells me humans just aren't meant to be 7' 6" and 300+ pounds.
you have got to be kidding, i'm in the championship game in my fantasy league and this loser breaks his foot!!! i guess it's up to big ben to hold it down this week.
How did he break it? 'Come down on someone's foot?
Check your PM
Never mind, I just read how he broke it. AK stepped on Yao's foot.
That's wrong. Not like the Rockets were going anywhere, but that sucks for him. Hopefully the Rockets get a healthy Yao and Mcgrady for the 2006-2007
Still true.![]()
This looks like a nice gift to us in terms of that particular game. It is just that it sucks to break your foot when the fact that being eliminated from the playoff hunt was a foregone conclusion. Get better Yao.
You are so bad! Silly old bear!![]()
Sorry. I do actually feel bad for him.
Also hurts China's olympic team...
Yeah, for Spurs fans, there is an indirect silver lining ...
If the Mavericks are still one loss behind with the just the Houston game left for the Spurs, then the Mavs would get homecourt if the Spurs lose to the Rockets because the Mavs would have the better division record since the two teams would have the same overall record after a Spurs loss.
Not that anything is guaranteed, but it would appear that the Rockets would not put up much of a fight without Yao Ming AND without Tracy McGrady.
Anyway, that's one way of looking at it for Spurs fans.
Of course, it's horrible for Yao and for the Rockets franchise.
well, thats to damn bad.
what does this have to do with the Spurs??????
Actually, I just saw the replay and Yao did step on Derron Williams foot. He turned and stepped to pivot on his left foot and Williams stepped out right into his path, it was a long step too. That's the view NBA TV showed attributed to the way Yao broke it.
Wow so much for my plan to trade Nazr for Yao.
