Nice way to win votes.
Yep. Well, he's got my vote.
For idiot of the election.
Yep, put me down as insane in the membrane.
Oops. Oh well, just have him and Kerry feel up each other in public again and everyone will forget.
A foolish statement. About as foolish as claiming that if you are against Bush, then you are for the terrorists and are hoping more troops die.
That's not entirely an accurate characterization of the position, spurster.
What the conservatives have been saying is that, for Kerry/Edwards to win, their doom and gloom characterizations of the war on terror will have to hold until election day. If things get better in Iraq -- even a little bit, they lose.
Ergo, if you want Kerry/Edwards to win, you have to hope the terrorists and insurgents do well which, unfortunately means more U.S. soldiers will die. No one ever said that if you were against Bush - you are for terrorists and that you're hoping more troops die. (Although, now that I think about it, Paul Krugman did have an editorial in the NYTimes a while back that said something to the effect that if more soldier would die sooner we'd be out of Iraq sooner...in essence, saying, the sooner things go bad the sooner we'll lose and the sooner Bush will look like a failure.)
So, in that sense, maybe your assertion is the case.
However, there's no such justification for Edward's statement.
Actually, Cheney DID say that (exactly) , before he said that he didn't say that.
i agree with edwards...i dont know how anyone in their right mind can support Bush, but that's just me
Exactly?
Please post the quote and source.
