But...but...but, I thought they were recruiting local Iraqis into the cause.
And want us out of their country, that's why we're fighting African Al Qaeda thugs in Iraq.

Romainians Flee Village in Panic after mistaking disco lights for Alien Invasion![]()
For someone who posts every day from salon.org, democraticunderground, ihategeorgebush.com, etc., you might want to reconsider that whole criticizing web sites thing.
Give me a reeeeeel and credible site, and then we'll talk about the make-up of the Iraq insurgents.
I think that article is as credible as most I've seen danny boy post in here.
Oooooooooookay Dannyboy.
Spare the me the credibility lecture, mister i've-done-my-own-research-and-it's-obvious-that-the-Bush-admin.-knew-about-9/11-and-let-it -happen-anyway.
??
Dan's sources are no further out there than this one.
Pot, kettle, black.
I'm curious if Gallop/CBS/PollingPoint/CNN has a poll to back that up.![]()
im not saying that we aren't helping them but they may not be educated enough to realize this, i dont think the average iraqi with a gun realizes we arent there for imperialistic aims because the average iraqi with a gun probably isn't educated.
The insurgents pick those who dont know any better to fight us. Sadly this will never end until we withdraw.
I don't think the insurgents are doing any picking.
The same people causing problems over there now were the ones with a house on every other corner as members of the Ba'athist party making sure everyone stayed in line with Saddam's world.
Actually they do.I'm curious if Gallop/CBS/PollingPoint/CNN has a poll to back that up.
USA todayBAGHDAD — Only a third of the Iraqi people now believe that the American-led occupation of their country is doing more good than harm, and a solid majority support an immediate military pullout even though they fear that could put them in greater danger, according to a new USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup Poll...
*sic*
...But while they acknowledge benefits from dumping Saddam a year ago, Iraqis no longer see the presence of the American-led military as a plus. Asked whether they view the U.S.-led coalition as "liberators" or "occupiers," 71% of all respondents say "occupiers."
That figure reaches 81% if the separatist, pro-U.S. Kurdish minority in northern Iraq is not included. The negative characterization is just as high among the Shiite Muslims who were oppressed for decades by Saddam as it is among the Sunni Muslims who embraced him.
The growing negative at ude toward the Americans is also reflected in two related survey questions: 53% say they would feel less secure without the coalition in Iraq, but 57% say the foreign troops should leave anyway. Those answers were given before the current showdowns in Fallujah and Najaf between U.S. troops and guerrilla fighters.
