Protestors Ransack Bush/Cheney Headquarters In Orlando
2 People Receive Minor Injuries During Protest

    POSTED: 6:05 pm EDT October 5, 2004
    UPDATED: 6:29 pm EDT October 5, 2004

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A group of protestors stormed and then ransacked a Bush-Cheney headquarters building in Orlando, Fla., Tuesday, according to Local 6 News.

Local 6 News reported that several people from the group of 100 Orlando protestors face possible assault charges after the group forced their way inside the Republican headquarters office.

While in the building, some of the protestors drew horns and a mustache on a poster of President George W. Bush and poured piles of letters in the office, according to the report.

"We told them to leave, they broke the law," Republican headquarters volunteer Mike Broom said.

Two protestors received minor injuries when the crowd stormed the building, including a Republican volunteer.

One of the protestors said she wanted to send a message.

"We want to send a clear message to Bush, we want him to take his hands off our overtime pay," protestor Esmeralda Heuilar said.

Local 6 News learned that most of the protestors were from the AFL-CIO and were taking part in one of 20 other coordinated protests around the country.

A spokesperson with the AFL-CIO told Local 6 News that the Orlando protest did not go as planned.

A protest similar to Orlando's demonstration was held at a Bush-Cheney office in Miami at the same approximate time, Local 6 News reported.

Shots fired at Bush Tenn. headquarters

Knoxville, TN, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- An unknown gunman fired several shots into the Bearden, Tenn., Bush-Cheney campaign office Tuesday, WBIR-TV in Knoxville reported.

According to Knoxville police officers on the scene, it is believed that the two separate shots were fired from a car sometime between 6:30 a.m. and 7:15 a.m. One shot shattered the glass in one front door and the other cracked the glass in another of the front doors.

There were no witnesses to the shooting. A customer at a nearby dry cleaning store noticed shattered glass on the sidewalk in front of the headquarters and called police.

Volunteers and staffers at the campaign office say they have no clues as to who might have committed the crime. However, they add that the shooting makes them even more enthusiastic and energized about working for their candidates.

"If I have to sleep here (at the campaign office) now, that's what I'll do," says volunteer Suzanne Dewar.

Uh, I don't think that Bush/Cheney needs to worry about the Iraqis hating them...

Kerry can have that one, too. And then tax the out her overtime pay.

Who needs terrorists when we've got the democratic party?

Osama's probably sitting on a beach somewhere with Zawahari lighting up a Cuban cigar, laughing at the "silly liberals" and their hate for America and Bush.

Bush signed into law a provision that direcly took a LOT more money out of their pockets than the measly tax cuts put in. Can you blame them for being pissed?

Swastika Burned Into Grass On Bush-Cheney Supporter's Lawn
Homeowner: 'My Signs Are Going Right Back In The Yard'

    POSTED: 11:57 am CDT October 1, 2004
    UPDATED: 12:31 pm CDT October 1, 2004

MADISON, Wis. -- Madison homeowners are livid after vandals defaced their homes.

Someone burned an 8-foot-by-8-foot Nazi swastika on a home's lawn near where Bush-Cheney signs were posted. The vandals used grass killer to spray the symbol.

Several nearby homes were vandalized -- all were within a two-block radius on the West Side, near Ice Age Trail, News 3 reported.

State Republican Party officials claim it's the latest in a series of desperate acts by Democrats.

Homeowners are angry, but resolute in what they plan to do next.

"I just cannot believe that someone would take the liberty to do this," said homeowner Rob Schaeffer. "We're appalled that someone would choose to destroy our property because they don't believe in our political views. My signs are going right back in the yard. This is my property. We live here. We have rights."

Police are investigating the criminal damage and told the homeowner it will be investigated as a hate crime, which carries stiffer penalties.

I'm not defending that, and I don't necessarily agree with it....

    BUT.....

Ever worked in payroll when the company's business slows dramatically and you pray every day that the checks you do cut clear the bank? While everyone is ing at you because they aren't getting their overtime?

What a lot people don't understand is that overtime is very, very rarely ever guaranteed...and certainly not to bank on it.

But absolutely, if you're working over 40 you should be compensated for it some way or another.

    I'd kill for comp time.

Then there's the reality. Most of this law was driven by BIG companies, SW, not the little guys. They have very few worries, and MUCHO influence on the hill.

What if you're Union? My dad's company has 3 different unions and it's in our contracts that after 8 hours a day, it's overtime. And God forbid you short them a penny.

Well if they're getting short-changed then they should settle it where the great Cons ution of our country allows it: at the polls.

All this destruction of property in the "name of protest" is vandalism, no matter what sorry ass excuse you're trying to roll out in defense of it.

Yup every time I read about the dumb assholes that are supporting Kerry I am more and more convinced we need to keep Bush in the Whitehouse. Too bad the gang that tore down the American Flag and held it hostage(yes they held it hostage) in protest of the RNC didn't get any media coverage.

I also get get pissed every time I hear a foreign government tell us who our president should be.

LMAO, they said they weren't going to return it unless the Republicans shut down their convention. I don't think it was returned...I am pretty sure they murdered it.

It was the flag being used for the convention.

Oh my bad, I forgot, let me try again...

The American flag is a symbol of persecution and hate of foreigners and outsiders. The only good flag is a burning one or one being pissed on [/pansy ass tree hugging, terrrorist loving liberal]

What are you living in the past? Seems your political beliefs aren't the only thing that are a relic of the stone age.

Speaking of her...I heard through the grapevine that she was getting married.

Hey, it seems to be a perfectly acceptable plan of attack for the demos and your hero Kerry.

"I served four months in 'Nam."

"Roll the clocks back to 9/10 and let us take charge."

    Blah blah blah.

As with the serial stager incident, who was probably responsible for the shooting at the other GOP office, there is nothing these Neocons and their bobbleheads won't do to win W re-election.
