34-10 in favor of the Pistons ... so why is this here?

"Yeah, that's about how I saw it," Stotts said. "Them and San Antonio are probably the two most physical teams in the league, yet both of them go to the foul line more than anyone else."

Dear Coach Stotts - check your facts:

    Detroit 1950 FTs, opponents 1677 ... +273
    Spurs 1891 FTs, opponents 1912 ... -21
    Dallas 2322 FTs, opponents 2163 ... +159
    Miami 2310 FTs, opponents 2223 ... +87

Get used to it Stotts. Your team is compiled of a bunch of ty defenders. Their only shot at stopping the Pistons is by hacking them when they get into the lane. They're just outmatched physically at every position. The Pistons can contain players without that crap.

Also, it wouldn't hurt if you didn't use "hack-a-ben". He was obviously just trying to position himself for this "Refs favor the Pistons" campaign when he started having the Bucks foul Ben off the ball when the game was already over.

It's a beautiful thing when your team is one of the elite teams and gets a favorable whistle. It sucks when you're the underdog and don't get the calls.

    happens.

Rasheed Wallace gets called for a small fraction of what he should.

I have never seen some one smack the opponents hands so much when they were just holding the ball.

It is really annoying they don't call that.

Smacking the ball is perfectly legal. Trust me, the refs don't do Sheed any favors. There is a reason he gets so many techs.

Well, that makes sense that the Spurs would shoot fewer FT's than those other squads; since they rely SO much on the outside jumper; they don't really have any low-post players, or any who drive to the hole.

It is still assumed by the league that the Spurs are still on the favorable side of this coin; but they ain't. Detroit on the other hand....damn.

Well, that just goes to show you ...

While fans of other teams are making fun of the Pistons for ing about officials so much, maybe they should just rather have their teams like the Pistons and they would get more calls. If it ultimately helps you get more calls, then why not? Nothing illegal about ing about calls during a game.

Just another way of looking at it.

Vinny Johnson is an ignorant fool. Anything he say's only makes you dumber. If there was a God, Vinny Johnson would be a Knicks fan.

It's always funny when the coach of a losing team is so clueless he thinks that fouls should be called evenly regardless of how hard the teams work on both ends of the floor.

According to league rules, the hand is part of the ball now.
