well they are not getting swept thats for sure. what with some of you fans think after one game its gonna be a sweep. damn!
Carter's performance in game 1 of the playoffs was laughable. He singlehandly shot the Nets out of the game. I have never seen such a performance and I have seen tons of Kobe and Antoine Walker games.
At some points when he kept putting up bricks the crown was not booing but you could hear their disgust. I am surprised they didn't bench his ass or at least tell him to try and pass the ball.
what a in loser this guy is. especially cause the few dunks he got he pumped his fist and made all this noise and then proceeded to put up 10 more briks in a row before his next dunk and its respective celebration. Even jayZ was completely embarrased you could see it in his face
it just pisses me off somebody can be so selfish as to prefer to make his team lose than to take a step back and say, forget about my troubles, let me do other things to try to win the game. instead, Carter's selfishness made him forget he is in the playoffs and that he has other teammates. I hope the nets get swept by the Pacers.

????
I couldn't agree more.
As I watched this game, I had the exact same thoughts. Carter is a selfish prick who thinks he is the New Jersey Nets. He has a terrible night, continues to try and be the hero...it's pathetic.
I've never seen Kobe or AI that selfish, it was as if he was dissing his teammates.
I am so glad that he isn't a Spur.
do pistons fans and pacer fans think about him every minute of every ing day? damn you should be happy he destroyed the pacers. if anything he probably helped you guys get to the finals.

well I meant among "normal" people.
Artest is a nut who needs to be ins utionalized
OR... Maybe I just thought about him cause his ass just got suspended this morning!![]()
"Thats why we don't feed the dog people food".....Freakin Idiot!
Yes. Ron Artest is my god.
All hail Ron Artest! The real Finals MVP!
yeah, that's what you would like to believe, because your team is going to get swept too!
you will eat your words sooner or later. im not saying we will win tomorrow but we wont get swept.
know your just obsessed with him like pacer fans. i will never understand why though. hes not in the east get over it. like i said you should be happy. the pacers are now a soft team who has that woman named peja and they suck! miami plays no defense at all and they arent even healthy. you guys have no compe ion in the east at all. unless you think the ing bucks are a formidable apponent.![]()
Why do you think the Pistons want no compe or in the East? Here's a clue from a fan who's actually had a compe ve team - you eventually get to the point that you want to see someone challenge your team when they are consistently good. When you're team is on top of the league, you don't fear any opponent. Because they've already beat the Lakers and the Spurs and the Mavs. The season didn't end with motivation for next. There was no Horry-for-three moment to go over. And so you circle the games of the nearest compe ion, and you enjoy the challenge, and how it sharpens your favorite team's playoff tools.
Imagine if instead of Rick Fox confronting Doug Christie in a 2002-03 preseason game, they did it in an early-season matchup. And instead of it being Staples, it's ARCO. Instead of Fox re-confronting Christie in the bowels of the arena, he runs into the stands after a Kings fan throws a cow bell at him. He starts throwing punches. A hail of alcohol and food decends on the Lakers players as they try to leave. Shaquille O'Neal gets a chair thrown at him. These are your fans, your building - they represent you to the masses. The country talks about it non-stop for 12 months.
How would you feel? It was a life-altering event in terms of being a fan in this league. And it changed a rivalry that had been budding since 2000-01. Isiah Thomas became Head Coach of the Pacers, the equivalent of Geoff Petrie coaching the Lakers. Isiah Thomas had come back to the Palace Grille to be honored for being elected into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in May of 2000. Around that time, Joe Dumars had just been named the President of Basketball Operations. This caused a clamouring for Thomas to return to Detroit after being cast-out for whatever bad blood developed between him and Bill Davidson.
While all that is going on, he decides to leave the broadcast booth...to coach the Pacers. The Pistons were looking for an immediate replacement for Grant Hill, and shopped heavily - Eddie Jones, Tim Thomas, and Jalen Rose. Rose was the candidate that showed the most interest, but since Jalen had a strong, personal bond with Thomas that went back to his High School days in Michigan, he re-signed with the Pacers. As the season wound down in 2000-01, the Pistons lost a key game to the Pacers down the stretch, and it permanently eliminated them from playoff contention while the Pacers (41-41) garnered the 8th seed.
And so was born the rivalry between the Pistons and Pacers. It wasn't just Ron Artest, it wasn't just one incident. It was the Pistons main rivals. It was a rivalry that had been intensified by a playoff series. And it wasn't a playoff loss, age, or a free agent signing that brought it to a screeching halt. It was a plastic cup of beer.
Maybe it's just because Artest is a bigger tool than Vince Carter. There's ample evidence to make that case.
I don't know about all that premeditated in 01.
All I know is Ron Artest is ing crazy.. and has the memory of a goldfish (3 seconds) so is incapable of having a rivalry.
Mad - Hurt Him
Hungry - Eat
See Ball - Get Ball
That is the extent of Ron Ron's ability to reason.
God damn this thread went to . Artest strikes once again.
