Who the picked these Texas landmarks? No Alamo, no Riverwalk, no Astrodome. About the only ones I agree with are Texas stadium and the Space Center.
One of the oldest board games in the country is getting a make-over.
Monopoly was invented in 1935, and has remained unchanged for 70 years, but that will all change this fall. Monopoly's new "Here and Now" edition is due out this August. The Atlantic City landmarks will be replaced with national landmarks from all over the country.
Until May 12th, fans can vote on what landmarks will be on the new Monopoly board. Just click on a city and pick a landmark. The site will even tell you how your pick compared to others.
For you sentimental fans, don't worry! The original version of the monopoly game will still be available. To vote for your favorite landmark, click HERE.

WTF NO Alamo? why those dirty.... low down..
Space Center? haha.. it would Mexico if not for Alamo. I doubt Gen Houston would of beaten Santa Ana without the casualties we inflicted on the Mexican army at the Alamo. Hence no Houston, no Space Center, No Texas Stadium. etc...
Those aren't "Texas landmarks." Hasbro is going by particular cities. Dallas and Houston made their list. San Antonio apparently is too much of a small market for them. Vashner can have his aneurysm now.
ALAMMOOOOOO ONOOOO
splat.. my head blew up.
Aren't there dozens of versions of Monopoly already out there?

That's what I was thinking....I have a Wizard of Oz one .. and my kids want the Sponge Bob one. I've seen a ton of different versions.![]()
Isn't there already a Texas version of monopoly? I thought I saw one at Barnes and Nobles before. I am sure the Alamo is in that one.
Pretty cheap choices for Phoenix, I must say.
Yes but this will change the original version.
