He was probably pissed that the Spurs played some of the worst defense they've ever played under his tenure. He's probably still yelling at them right now.
I got to see just part of Pop's press conference after the game on FSN. He seemed to be more impatient and curt with the press then even he normally is. He told one guy to "..stop being a fan and start being objective..." responding to a question about the free throw differential. Another time (answering a question I didn't hear, unfortunately) he goes "Why would I do that? I mean GEEZ OH WHIZZ!" Hilarious material Pop, but why the bad mood. Any thoughts? Was he still pissed at Nazr?

Because for the love of God I wish sports journalists WOULD stop being fans and start being reporters.
There is a line you cross when you do the job. Be a fan, it's great. It's really great when members of the media can enjoy what they do (as far as sports goes), but it really needs to stop once it enters the job.
I.E. No cheering in the press box.
I'm just as guilty, though.
During Texas State's run for the national championship this season, I was readily wearing Bobcat gear while working the sidelines, cheering and celebrating on great plays.
I can't defend what I did, but when you're in an international setting - as the NBA playoffs are - you should really try.
BTW, anybody know who that was Pop chastized?
I'm not just saying this because she's a friend of mine, but everytime I've heard Kori during postgame, she's professional and on-point, not a fan.
During GTGs though, it's a different story.
Was is Walter? I briefly heard Walter on 1200 WOAI repeat that, but don't know who he said it to?
Not trying to call any of the press out. I'm sure everything was status quo from anybody who had a question to ask. I just thought that Pop was going off more than usual. I would have hated to be in the press room last night. Did you see the faces of the FSN anchors when they came back on? Wide eyed and practically speechless.
I'm almost certain it was Walter Pasacrita who asked both questions that elicted Pop's responses (though the first response was vintage Pop and nothing to write home about, IMO). In fact, in watching the press conference on-line, I'm pretty sure that as Pop walked off the dias, he shouted "Walter" and waved to someone to come talk with him. Pop may have been willing to talk that way to Walter because they're familiar; I don't know that he would have called Random Media Dude a fan who lacks objectivity.
Speaking of FSN...

At the beginning it seemed like no one wanted to ask a question, so Pop said- Do I have to ask the questions, too?
Then there were questions about officiating and free throw differential. Pop said the Kings shot more free throws in regulation because we fouled them more.
Pop hates stupid questions. There were alot of great questions a reporter could have asked after that game last night but they ask the same stuff over and over it seems. Not you, Kori.
is there video of his press conference anywhere?
Seems like a weak answer by Pop to me. I thought many of the calls against the Spurs were bullstink, specifically vs Duncan and Bob Horry. Also Tony P and the Spurs were playing tough D against MiniMe, shutting him down big time. Yet he gets a parade to the foul line. We were winning the game by 10, certainly being just as aggressive as the Kings, yet they were +10 on the FTAs. Good question by reporter, very unobjective and snippy answer by Pop.
Unless he just does not want to give the NBA reffing crews even one iota of ammunition for future games.
NBA.com, they have streaming video of it.
bowen was on bibby most of the game, tp guarded him when bowen was picking up ticky tack fouls. i thought 3 of the fouls on duncan were justified, one was terrible and the other iffy. my only problem with the officiating was that when the spurs threatened to break the game open in the third after going up by 10, bavetta and co. bogged the game down with ticky tack fouls.
Pop doesn't want to give the team any excuses even if the officiating is horrible.
I can't find the link
You're never going to bait Pop into ing about officiating overall like that.
Pop sure as doesn't want to give the Spurs players an excuse like "Poor us. The refs were so mean." He wants to light in to them and let them know the difficult situation was all their doing, hold them entirely accountable. Pop is going to tear the team new whole which is great.

It says "Click picture for Coach Pop ..."
Damn, Wally got owned
No that's just pop in game mode.
Oh, God...that wasn't nearly as bad as the original poster made it out to me.
, that's normal everyday Pop.
I retract my statements above.
