um.. Marbury,Richardson,Francis and Rose couldnt even make it to the postseason.
They have all them so called superstars and they cant even beat the bulls or matter of fact they cant sweep them. the heat suck. their fans is delusional. they always make up excuses for the team like if shaq wasnt injured..... if wade wasnt injured........ if williams wasnt injured....... if zo wasnt injured......... please they are overrated and they suck. i cant even imagine someone picking miami over detroit in the ECF. miami might not make it to the ECF if they dont get past the bulls and if they do they still got indiana or new jersey in there way.

Look, sucks is too strong of a statement. They are the second best team in the East.
But this team has never jelled the way they should have. They lost their iden y with the new pieces they had. I'm not paid to do this, but it would seem to me that Antoine Walker and Jason Williams were important offensive pieces, more important in the regular season than Shaq.
The Showtime Lakers went 184-62 (.750) with two NBA les and another conference le in the last three years of Kareem's career. He was the 4th-leading scorer on those teams because Byron Scott, Magic Johnson, and James Worthy were much younger.
Shaq is more important on the defensive end, and the later the season gets. Walker has never proved that he could be a consistent 6th man, and he had the opportunity in Dallas to do so.
I envisioned Wade (22 points), Walker (18 points), and Williams (13 points) would settle into similar roles that Arenas, Jamison, and Butler had with Washington this season. Shaq, Haslem, and Mourning become a defensive force on that frontline. Posey, Payton, and one of the bigs (probably Mourning) become their bench. Their iden y stays the same from the season before - a hungry, defensive team with the ability to shoot lights out.
When I looked at those moves, that's the team I saw. But they seem to be content with just being a pounding offensive team playing off Shaq when their best defensive pieeces, their oldest pieces, have to play 30-48 minutes to have a chance to win.
The problem isn't that this team sucks. They have ill-defined roles and no true iden y. If they weren't talented or capable (something I infer from the word "sucks") they would look like the Philadelphia 76ers right now, not winning 52 games.

I agree. Miami might even lose to Chicago. If they are lucky enough to get to the ECF they will lose in 5 to the mighty Pistons.

Miami doesnt suck. They just arent elite. They will beat the Bulls. I dont forsee Big Daddy scoring 8pts a game in the near future.

not really. Sometimes he acts like he deserves everything he gets. I just think he needs to struggle for a few years to really value winning.
Plus I live in DC! and the Wizards would give the Pistons a better fight than Cavs.
The Heats record vs the top teams is a JOKE. I don't understand why anybody thinks they have a chance to do anything in the playoffs...
in retrospect, maybe modelling the psychological make-up of your team on the old lakers wasn't the best idea.
Miami doesn't suck, but they aren't as good as they are made out to be.
Teams like Detroit, Spurs, Dallas, they don't just have on or two stars, they are a team of many, all working together. The thing about Miami is the fact that they really only have two people that can get it done, and if one of them are having a bad night, they lose.
With the Spurs, Pistons and Mavs, everybody can score, so if one guy has an off night, there is somebody else to pick up the slack. That's the thing about Shaq. He alone cannot win championships for a team. I knew Miami would lose in Chicago, they had a hard enough time beating the Bulls IN Miami. So, I think it will be very interesting to see how this series plays out. I do think that Miami will win it, but I think it will be in 6 or 7 games.
