I never tried to a dish. Must hurt?

I swear.
Every god damn time it rains (like right now) the damn signal goes out. Piece of .
I never tried to a dish. Must hurt?

Well, if you angle it just right...
I could never get the angle right...
The guy that set up mine was was better than anyone that has ever come over from Time Warner. Not having to wait between 8 in the morning and 9 at night was a good start.
Doesn't every satellite dish go out if it is storming outside?![]()
Lots of things can happen that block the satellite signal.
Yea, mine does that too. Also when there's even slight winds, the signal fades. They need to come up with something sturdier to hold it outside.
All those small Ku band ones--Dish network and Directv--do
It has to do with the amount of water between the dish and the LNB--sand storms also knock them off the air
Those big ol' C band dishes--8 ft and bigger--don't go out until you get about 3 inches of snow built up on the dish
It happens for any dish that isnt too big.
I have a 10 foot mesh Skymaster. Ok well I have not used it for 4 years. The IRD smoked (C-band receiver). I could always hook up a 4DTV (new digital for big dish). But TV wastes time anyway. Got other things to like computa!
can't you build a house for the dish...
It's the high storm clouds that degrade the signal. I have seen those rock covers. I don't think they help, never researched it.
get a cover.
They advertise them in dish magazines, supposedly they work, dunno never tried it.
But still
Dish >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>cable
Dish Network sucks ass, and I say that as a 7 year customer. But that's a different issue altogether.
As far as signal loss, it happened every once in a while, but only during strong downpours. Cloud cover never seemed to be a problem.
That being said, since switching to DirecTv, I have yet to experience an outage during a rain storm or anyother time.
DirecTV>Dish>cable
Yes it does.
You better freakin believe it has porn.
all 5 channels GDamnt.
We have DirecTV downstairs and TW Cable upstairs. The DirecTV rarely goes out (though it did last night for a few minutes during the peak of the storm) but even if it does, then we have cable tv for backup.
I had horrible service issues with DirecTV, so I went to Dish Network, and have had great
reception and service the whole time.
If I build it, will it come?
I hate Dish Network. Our DVR reciever sucks ass and won't record anything, and then we were told that it would be $50 for some asshole service guy (I know its not his fault but I'm pissed anyway) to come out and just LOOK at it. WTF? I have to convince my roomate to sack up and tell Dish Network were to stick it. Bunch of assholes.
DirecTV porn is much more graphic than Comcast Cable porn.
Unfortunately I have Comcast.
We had DirectTV about 7 years or so ago ... I'm assuming that the customer service has improved somewhat or they wouldn't still be in business. At that time it was sooooo bad, I couldn't get back to TWC fast enough.
We used to have one of those BIIIIIG satellites before they went and started scrambling everything. We must have had at least 50 of the most hardcore porn channels ever. Unfortunately, the dish had to do an entire rotation to get to the location they were on ... so it was really easy to get busted watching it. You couldn't change it in a hurry.![]()
