Mavs have as good a shot as any team right now.
But, I know the Mavs haven't had much post season success in ... forever, but they don't hand out the NBA championship after the second round of the playoffs. They have four rounds now. I know the Mavs fans don't really know the whole format of the NBA playoffs because they usually choke early on, but Mavs aren't automatically champs even if they beat the Spurs.
True. Even though they're going to be a to play in the finals (if both teams get that far), it's kind of comforting to know if the Spurs do get upset in the West, that team will get what's coming to them against Detroit...

Actually, you better be damn glad you didn't get the number one seed and this FIRED UP Kings team. If your mavs were playing the kings the way the kings have played through 5, the kings would either be up 3-2 or would have put you away 4-1. Don't think for a second that you could have handled this Kings team, they are playing extremely well(s). Be glad that you got a lame duck grizzlies team with a lame duck gasol to pick on. Don't for one second equate that with having to battle this kings team. The kings are getting the Spurs playing SPURS CHAMPIONSHIP BASKETBALL in round 1, so watch out for a beating in round two.
