When is the DPOY announced?

On NBA.com it just says "TBA. Announcement dates for the regular season awards will be posted soon."

Isn't it usually announced at the beginning of the 2nd round?

I just checked the Free Press, Detroit News, Oakland Press, and mlive.com that links to the mid-Michigan newspapers - no one is reporting that Ben Wallace will win the Defensive Player of the Year Award. You're right; it's usally announced by now.

I hate these ing reputation votes. Bruce clearly deserves to win. Ben, while still among the top defenders in the league, has not had a great year. EVERY player has commented on Bowen's perimeter defending ability, and the difference he makes on other teams hot shooters (at various positions) is amazing.

If that's true, then I am really ing pissed off.
