LMAO. I was waiting to hear how he was moving to Austin because the future is brighter there.
You can actually see the complex via this aerial:

Hey! What the is that in the upper right of this picture???????
What aerial?
It looks like me to be the lower half of the ship from Flight of the Navigator, when it morphs into super fast mode.
I thought you didn't like Stone Oak because it was so crowded.
Congrats on your new apartment.
Is it the one shaped like an "S"

Stupid ass toll road...
The said it will cost people that drive on it to work over $1000 a year..
But they let developers build on pristine recharge land at will.
281 looks like now compared to just 2 years ago. Used to be a nice scenic drive now it's Houston Jr.
I don't remember saying I didn't like it because it was crowded..
It can't be any worse than the medical area.
And thank you Kori.
They'll be able to drive the road for free as well.![]()
At 45 max with stop signs. You have to pay to go 65-70 and pass up the stops..
They are building LOT of new roads and hwy in Texas off our Dime.. we pay same taxes as everyone when we get that sticker every year.
Only reason for toll is to put hand in people's pocket. We could expand it to 4 lanes and put some bridges at a couple lights without tolls.
big daddy matty in this
They're building toll roads in lieu of raising the gasoline tax.
Welcome to the area, Buddy.![]()
You fell for that? It's bull ...
They been pouring OUR money all over the place in Texas and they knew for years about 281. There is already a plan to widen 281 on the books.
Listen up.. there is enough money to fix it without toll roads.
And the toll roads have NO ENDING.. EVER.. they never stop collecting tolls. .not after it's paid. A foreign company will also be running the toll system! and collecting some of the money!
There's enough money to build the roads... if you're willing to wait 20 years for funding to become available. The state budget is finite. The gasoline tax is fixed and loses value each year due to inflation, so we end up with less money to fund roads in a growing state.
The tolls don't go away... your taxes don't go down either. Except you never have a choice whether or not to pay taxes. If you don't drive on the toll road, your tires don't beat up the pavement, and you don't have to pay to maintain it.
I think it's questionable when they use the tolls to fund new construction of projects that aren't economically justified on their own. I totally disapprove of any plans to erect toll booths on previously free existing lanes.
But user fees are the way of the future to get needed roads built more quickly. That way, I pay for the highways I need to use, and you pay for the highways you need to use. You act like you're en led to free roads as a handout or something. Typical.
We pay road Taxes already. Did I say free roads? We don't need toll roads. Don't fall for the bull they are feeding. And we don't have to wait 20 years. TxDOT can redirect funding. People are just letting them walk all over the northsiders that live in the area.
They could easily put in a rule that when the road cost is paid back the tolls cease. It's a double taxation.
