No more 4-guard lineup for 35+ minutes tonight. All of a sudden the Spurs can play defense again now when they have Tim and Rob, Tim and Rasho, and Rob and Rasho on the floor together. No more of this soft jumpshot crap. No more Bonzi Wells killing us inside. I told you all this team was vastly inferior running a four-guard lineup, and tonight proved it. The Spurs absolutely destroyed Sac in the second and third quarters when they went big, they forced the Kings into lots of turnovers, and they controlled the pace of the game.

All those jumpshots are pretty to watch, but it's size and defense that got this team those three banners, and it's the only thing that will get them #4.

The small lineup worked against Phoenix last year, did it not?

That's Phoenix, the softest team in the NBA... not a team with guards who play the post.

Maybe its because I didn't watch the entire second half and a lot of the first. I guess I might be unlucky. If I find out that this solution might work, I will sacrifice myself and my fandom and not watch any of the games from now on.

yeah im glad the spurs got their act together tonight and played with a little more heart. What also contibuted to the Kings loss was turnovers and Artest and Wells gettin hurt.

You wouldn't laughing if the Pistons had to face the Kings.

Yeah I hated that small ball in the first round. It was so weak. I just wanted the Spurs to play Horry instead of going all the way small ... and guess what, it worked perfectly.

If the Spurs would have lost this series, it would have been 100% on Pop and the dumb ass small ball lineups against the Kings.

By only playing their real lineup in Game 6, the Spurs and Pop only give AJ 40 hours to prepare for the real Spurs.

    CIA Pop coaching judo.

Soft team do not come back from 3-1 deficits to win a series.

Actually this is "Spurs basketball". True Fans know a little choke is part of our game. Normally the guys bounce back and win like 5 before another loss...

I don't like small ball, but I do greatly love the ABILITY to play small ball. Being able to play small for a few minutes to either confuse or react to the opponent is great, for short stretches.

I just love the fact the Spurs have the ability and personel to adapt to anything. That's what makes them great. That's what allows them to bump and grind and survive through four series. And if they win another le? Well, three rings are great, but I think they can adapt to wearing four.
