Avery complains about fouls/officiating -- that's something Pop never does. Pop is very against that kind of talk and doesn't let the players do it either.

And yes Game 2 will be probably be called much tighter, I just hope the refs are consistant with the calls. I know...that will not happen.

I saw that too. Pretty ridiculous, if anyone was playing bear hug defense it was Dampier on Duncan. The refs swallowed their whistles down the stretch, and as long as they're fairly consistent I've got no beef with the officials.

I think they were very good and consistent today but I wish they would let both teams play a little bit more. This is going to be a closely contested hard fought series and both teams are going to need as much momentum as possible. Having the refs constantly kill the momentum kills watching games on TV.
I think what we have to worry about is how super tight they will call our defense in Dallas.
AJ has to do whatever it takes to get Bowen into foul trouble or this series could be over.

When Bowen gets called for fouls, all that he does is concentrate more and put up his hands up even more. We saw that in the second half today. He got into foul trouble early in the first and then in the second half, he went "Edward Scissorhands" on Dirk and made him look foolish. Dirk had only one basket in the 4th and that was just that breakaway dunk after Manu's turnover.
And then to top it off, Bruce buried a clutch 3.
I have no worries about Bowen no matter what AJ has to say.
Its not so much the effect on Bowen that worries me as it is the trickle down effect on the rest of the D.
Somebody tell AJ es jerseys don't hang in the AT&T center.
