Did Bush Force British Minister Out?

Two London papers have speculated this weekend that complaints by President George W. Bush forced a British minister from his post because of his opposition to the use of nuclear force against Iran.

The Independent suggests that a phone call from the U.S. president to British Prime Minister Tony Blair led to the removal of Foreign Secretary Jack Straw Friday.

The newspaper reports that friends of Straw believe Mr. Bush was extremely upset when Straw pronounced any use of nuclear weapons against Iran "nuts."

Both The Independent and the Guardian write that Straw's "fate was sealed" after a White House phone call to Blair.

should this be true, what a poodle Tony Blair is.

No he was pushed out because the Torries lost there ass at the polls.

Straw is 100% pro Bush policy in Iraq and Bush does not dislike him.

I think there is a disconnect as to what kind of nuke strike.

We are NOT going to Nuke a big city.. ONE of the plans available calls for using
ground penetrating small yield DIRECTLY on a WMD site.

Would the area hit be contaminated? Yup
Would there be a huge cloud that could hurt cities? Nope if it's done in the proper weather pattern.

    Nuke them?

Jesus, we only nuked Japan because we knew for a fact that taking the island would cost countless American lives. They still believed the Emperor was a descendant of God, therefore if he said "fight to the end" they will indeed fight to the end. Every man, woman and child.

But you are proposing using any sort of nuclear strike on Iran because....?

Arab people have at least shown the willingness to survive when confronted with a no-win situation. Just ask the Iraqi Army.

Well here you all go again. Bush is the cause of British politicians problems.
What a stretch. The old theory was the British was running our country.
Some people on this forum should be on SNL.
